Kerala House is a lovely homestay in Thekkady which is sharing the boundary of Periyar wildlife sanctuary. We were lucky to see some animals during morning time. long balcony facing forest land gives awesome view.
Safe and secure place for family. highly recommended place to all. thank you

What a blessing to have an opportunity to stay at this Beautiful House!
I arrived un announced and was greeting with love and arms open as if we were family, and honestly speaking I felt like with Family indeed.
The house and the rooms are very spacious, tidy, clean and comfortable. The Hosts are very friendly, warm, kind, respectful, helpful and cooperative.
I would recommend this place to anyone!

I spent the whole month in south Kerala, I traveled India for a couple of months before as well but my scooter tour in the neighboring villages and organic farms with Mr. Shibu (Suku) was one of my best experiences! Thank you! I fell in love in Kerala and part of my heart was left in Thekkady…

calm and quiet

thrice i stayed in this home stay in different climates. i really loved to be here and the hospitality provided by Mr. shibu and his wife was excellent and strongly recommendable. this home stay is close to periyar tiger reserve and we were able to see wild animals near the home stay. it was also a visual treat for us.

A reunion after 23 years

After 23 years time moves so fast about 5 friends from our college days, have been in touch but different locations had made it impossible to meet. Now retired we decided to meet and choose this quiet forest land where we could silently spend quality moments. Kerala house made sure our requirements were taken care and being senior citizens the forest officials kindness was showered upon. For the first time in all these years a lesson we understood from the wild they to like us have duties responsibility yet they live a life of more better quality. Just once in your life time take advantage a live your life.

This is an amazing place. Huge rooms, very helpful host (Shibu and his wife), excellent location (Periyar Tiger Park is some 300 mts and everything else is within 1 km). Shibu will help you plan your activities and even arrange tickets. The view if the Periyar Park from the balcony is amazing. They don't provide breakfast but there are number of options nearby.

Rooms on second floor are the best because of the view. All rooms are of equal size. Can't think of anything negative about this place. Whether you are traveling solo, as a couple or family, this is the place to stay.
