What People are saying

Nice but outdated!

csoterison 27/10/2016 06:42

Stayed for a week in August 2016 with my wife and 15th months old son. Overall the location and setting of the bungalows was very nice. We could not only hear the sea waves from our bungalow but also had a great view of the see front! The hotel is child friendly, with its kids pool and playgrounds and it practically has a beach of its own, as it is pretty secluded.
what we did not like was that we had to pay extra to get wifi in the bungalows, and still the signal kept being interrupted. I would expect that a hotel of this category would offer this service at no extra charge, considering also that it does not come cheap either.
In addition the furniture and facilities are all outdated and could really use a lot of renovation work.
Overall staying there was a pleasant experience, but would only consider staying there again if the place is modernised a bit more, in many aspects.

Amazing, beautiful, stunning holiday destination

We stayed her twice again this year June and September and several times before and never get bored with this hotel. It is the most stunning friendliest place we have stayed. The management and all the staff who help run this gem of a place, are all very friendly, and will do their up most to make sure your holiday is wonderful. The hotel grounds are a dream if you love flowers and plants, and the beach is a amazing sandy lagoon, This hotel is for people who want to relax and feel happy and safe. The food is amazing with lots of choices I could go on writing for ever, but believe us this hotel is amazing and I'm sure if you go you will be amazed too. Ps thank you to everyone at Kermia our holidays were perfect. We will be back. Gary & Jo Tanner

Beautiful Place just needs updating....

Spend a week at kermia beach and wish could of stayed for longer.... the whole concept is great, love the bungalows rather than a tall rise hotel.. the staff are all soooooo nice and friendly. The resort is apparently having a renovation next year which I hope will improve and not destroy the atmosphere, its very quiet and perfect for familys and couples (not like a mad busy all inclusive like a butlins camp in the UK) this is more upmarket but not lavish or posh. Improvements could be made on the All inclusive (don't make sense to have to wait until 10am and then have to pay for drinks at the stone grill and Sushi when your already paying for AI. The buffet is nice however could get boring I do like AI where you can choose to dine in other restaurants and be served food (would be good if you could do 1 each at stone grill and sushi per week as part of the AI as it was very good but didn't like the fact had to pay additional for it. The sunset bar is lovely however would be good to have some sort of music playing after the enternatiment down stairs had finished. I see that people have moaned about the cats... i loved them they were very friendly and not many of them at all only see about 4 the whole time they seemed like resort cats which were nice no bother at all and lots of the guests enjoyed seeing them (nicer seeing them looked after rather than being harmed like other resorts do. All in all a fantastic stay and i hope the renovation only makes it better and does not change the place as it really is a special place and I will 100% be returning. The beach is lovely and quiet, the people lovely just needs a little TLC - thanks Kermia!!!!

LOVED KERMIA

AnneMariHelsingon 05/10/2016 10:21

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Heaven on earth! LOVELY place, great bungalows, lovely beach -actually we always use to visit different beaches when we are there, but this time we stayed at Kermia the whole time -14 days! Its a quite area, the surroundings are incredible beautiful -flowers all over, the gardener worked a lot to keep it nice - it looked amazing! The food is great -the ony minus was the DJ playing disco (!) musick very load during dinner the few times we had dinner there. Greek musick please - silent in the background! :)
The staff and the hotel managment were VERY accomodating and friendly.
Lovely people!

We rented a car, no problem finding parking place.

Kermia is also a great place for cat lovers. All of us who loves -and care for animals, dont like to spend our holiday seeing a colony of injured/sick cats every day. That ruin the holiday very much for many people. -Thats very common in Cyprus.

But, not at Kermia! The cats were healthy, it was not to many of them (I asked the hotel manager to spay/neuter so it dont get overpopulated!), and the best to know is that the cats you learn to love during the holiday, but must leave behind when you go home, are well taken care of during wintertime when the hotel is closed. The hotel feed the cats when its closed - the hotel manager is a STAR!

This info about the hotel cats is actually VERY important to write here, because many cat lovers like I, do check Tripadvisor -and other places for info about the status among the hotel cats. Because the cats ARE there, all over Cyprus.
They BELONG there. Cat haters has nothing to do in Cyprus.....

-I actually choose hotel from the info I get about the status of the hotel cats!

Thats because I visited Cyprus at least 14 times, and stayed at hotels where I used most of my holiday bringing sick hotel cats to the vet or to a shelter, and cry my self to sleep every night feeling so sad I cannot help them all. I did not want to leave the appartment in the morning because I knew I would meet incredible many cats in need of urgent vet care outside the door, or see them in the hotel area.
This ruin the whole holiday for so many!

So, I did chose Kermia because I asked the hotel directly about all of this, and got polite and correct info about how the status among the hotel cats are. It was correct, and therfore we will be back next year!

Just book, you will not regret! I promise! If you are going there, and have more questions, feel free to search for me at FB and send me a private mail and I will answere all questions not mentioned here.

All inclusive outdated system

We visited Kermia as two young families and as we are used to good 4/5 stars all inclusive ressorts we were a bit dissapointed with Kermia. There are a lots of pros such as the great bungalows, family friendly, swimming pool and the beach. However we were disppointed with lack of extra facility (not enough bathrooms, just 2 which you need to pass by the bar were other guests are dressed), but the main complain was the outdated all inclusive concept at the hotel. Everytime we order drinks (with a not friendly barman I may add) he asks us the roomnumber and if we are all inclusive (and looks very irritated that we are) Please use wristbands instead of bothering the guests everytime you order! Also, we found it ridiculous that we couldn't order double espresso in the morning during the breakfastbuffet otherwise we would be extra charged. So we would have to wait to after 10am for our espresso's. Also all inclusive means just 1 restaurant for all meals. We tried the grill restaurant, friendly service, good food but ridiculous that you need to pay also for the drinks since we were on all inclusive. Reception staff is messy but friendly. Most waiters friendly though. All in all something was missing for us.
