No Frills, Good Value, Kibbutz Feel
Pahiton 10/01/2017 18:10Five minute drive from Eilat, you really feel like you are staying on a Kibbutz (which you are). So pretty to walk around. Much lower price than an Eilat hotel, full breakfast with a big emphasis on fresh vegetables, rooms are once again no frills but functional. When you see a squeegie in the bathroom to sweep the water from the shower down the drain, you know what I mean. Rooms were big enough. I liked the single rooms with the little private table and chairs outside. We also had dinner on Friday night which had millions of choices. Fridge, coffee and tea are in the room., We are planning on going back next year.
Lovely Peaceful Spot
xpressoholicon 07/12/2016 13:38Stayed here for one night and found it a wonderful alternative to staying in an Eilat hotel, it was a lovely spot on the outskirts of town, the staff were welcoming and friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The room we had was basic but comfortable with good air conditioning and cable tv (should you want to spend time watching tv!). There were lovely garden areas to relax in hammocks in outside and the breakfast was just fantastic! There was such a huge choice of food, the usual range of delicious Israeli breakfast foods plus more, there was something that was sure to please everyone. It was a short drive into Eilat to the beach and restaurants but if you like to be out of the 'hustle and bustle' and enjoy a more relaxed vibe this is the place for you. I wouldn't hesitate to return, my family and I really enjoyed our short stay here.

Kibbutz Ellot, your doorway to the Sinai
MaxNeumegenon 22/08/2015 11:08early 1979. somehow i ended up here for 3 months. working in the farms, fresh dates, growing watermelons in the desert, cycled to Nuwieba through a sand storm that took the paint off the bikes, lived at the Blue Bus with a group of us hippie nomads, that is still there in the sand and can be seen on google earth. walked to Mount Sinai through the desert, long story, will write it or record it on my travellers website.
then i cycled to Jordan for 3 months. but that is another story
Survivable
IrinaKhokhlovaon 03/05/2015 17:46Location is more or less good, even you need a car or to wait for the bus. It's about five kilometers from the nearest beach.
1) A lot of noisy children.
2) I asked for four single beds and got two double instead. I had to argue to get what I needed.
3) No soap in the shower, three cups for four people in the kitchen, microwave is available, but it can not reach the electricity supplier.
4) A lot of cats.bring a lot of dead birds to the swimming pool, and a lot of flies everywhere as a result. Nobody cleans the grass around the swimming pool.
5) The grocery store is open 3 to 4 hours a day and does not accept credit cards.
6) Nobody is available on holidays and weekends.
