Beautiful room great staff great food perfect spot on bus route - buses all the time and just 5 to 10 minutes from the Royal mile. Having both breakfast and evening meals available at good prices with honesty bar makes this the perfect place to be based. Free car parking too. 5+ stars.
Splendid hotel and lovely staff
davebelperon 24/08/2017 09:26Visit to Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo. We have used this hotel before and found it just about perfect for our stay. comfortable rooms and excellent dinner and breakfast menu.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated on a main bus route into the city centre which is about 1.5 miles away, so easily walkable in around 30 minutes.
Highly recommended.
Lovely Hotel
sylvie28031956on 21/08/2017 13:46A little way out from the city centre, but well served by many different buses. The hotel was lovely, the staff really friendly and provided an excellent service. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was really good with a wide variety of dishes on offer. They also offer an evening meal if you want one.
Comfortable, Convenient, Friendly
LaRhee Hon 19/08/2017 15:29We stayed at the Kildonan lodge while in Edinburgh for the Tattoo. The manager/owners were exceptionally helpful - arranging for taxis, providing advice for getting around Edinburgh, arranging food service in off-hours.... they really made us feel comfortable. My room was comfortable and clean and easily accessible for my elderly sister with mobility issues. The breakfasts and dinners were great and had good variety of choices. The location made access to the royal mile easy by bus. It was a good and comfortable choice for visiting Edinburgh.
Wonderful hotel with great breakfast
Patty Con 12/08/2017 06:08Kildonan Lodge is a bus ride from the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, but well worth the trip. Breakfast was superb, staff was friendly, rooms were pleasant. And on top of it, they refunded prepaid reservations when we missed our connecting flight because they were able to rent the room. Great customer service.
