High quality, good location

First time I've stayed here. The hotel just happened to come up on our corporate travel system with a reasonable rate at relatively short notice.
The hotel is ideal for those wanting a short hop to the West End without having to pay some of the punishingly high West end prices. Good public transport links / access as it is less than 5 mins walk from Holborn tube station / 10 mins to Covent Garden or to Tottenham Court road.
The building is quite grand and the hotel is a mixture of modern (reception & restaurant) and "classic London hotel" (corridors & rooms) styles.
I arrived significantly earlier than the normal check in time as I was heading out to lunch and as such, wanted to drop off my bags. The reception area is scrupulously clean and well maintained and gives a good first impression of the place. The reception desks were fully staffed by an immaculately turned out team of very pleasant and efficient ladies and gents. The young lady attending to me checked whether my room was ready (which I didn't expect it to be anyway at 11.15 am), as it wasn't yet ready she completed check in for me and then stashed my bags in the luggage room.
Later on, upon my return, bag retrieval was swift and I was on my way to the room. Slightly surprised that there were only 2 lifts for a mid sized hotel, however, as I was up / down / in / out at quiet times, I didn't suffer any "lift congestion".
My 3rd floor room was decently sized with loads of storage for those who need it and well furnished and equipped. As is often the case with hotels, the door closer spring must have come from the suspension of a juggernaut lorry - the door took quite some force to open and made getting in with a small wheelie case and small rucksack a bit like trying to get on the Northern Line in the rush hour! That isn't a complaint - merely an observation - just make sure any fingers or hands are well out of the way... The usual range of facilities (tea / coffee making, trouser press, safe, hairdryer, tv etc.) were all in perfect working order and the room and the good sized bathroom were all very clean and well maintained.
One thing which stood out and which would be a great plus point for tourists is that the hotel has put "travel buddy" mini tablets / phones in the room which are free for guests to use during their stay. Internet / travel guides and local calls are all included in the use of these - I have to assume or guess that there will be some "guided advertising" present, however, nonetheless for that, an excellent idea. I do hope that the guests respect this facility and that these don't get abused / broken / stolen. In terms of other technology, the WiFi was strong, free and with decent speed. As with any open network, be careful what you connect to though and make sure that you have security software or vpn program to access anything sensitive (online banking etc...)
In the evening, I didn't have the opportunity to try either the restaurant or bar as had been attending a business function in the afternoon.
The bed was very comfortable and a good night of sleep was had.
In the morning, the shower was hot and powerful, the towels large and thick and the bathroom overall of a high quality / well maintained.
Breakfast was served from 6.30 in the restaurant. A la carte or buffet offerings of both hot and cold were available and all were of a high standard as was the service by the very well presented and pleasant restaurant team.
Check out was smooth and efficient.
Overall a high quality hotel in an excellent location which, if I am in London on business, I would certainly happily stay at again.

Stayed overnight at the Kingsway Hall hotel with girlfriends, reception staff couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent both at lunch And breakfast. Will certainly return and highly recommend this central hotel.
Treated Like Royalty

Recently stayed at Kingsway Hall Hotel for 11 days. During my entire stay, I was treated like royalty. Each and every member of the staff I had contact with was polite, efficient and eager to assist me. The location was convenient and close to two underground stations. Covent Garden is a very safe area so I had no concerns about returning to the hotel late at night. The room was quite comfortable. At first I thought the bed was going to be too firm but as it turned out it was perfect. I slept great. I had Tea in the restaurant and enjoyed it very much. The hotel could use some updating in the rooms but I loved the way I felt like I was staying in real London instead of a fancy, contemporary room. I would not hesitate to stay at Kingsway Hall Hotel again. Highly recommended.
Good location, quiet and nice rooms for a reasonable London price

The location is very good, a 5 minute walk to Covent Garden, and only a short walk from Holborn tube station.
The hotel is located on a side road off High Holborn and seemed to be very quiet, with no noise detectable from my room. The room was a good size, and well equipped.
In summary, a nice play to stay, and this is going to be my hotel of choice next time I visit London.
Excellent service & location

Had an exceptional stay at kingsway hall-- mostly due to the above and beyond professional and helpful stafff-- who went out of their way, to a person, to help my mother m and I on our recent visit to London. Of course, the location is perfect to get anywhere in addition to all the wonderful spots right out the door...
