Was skepitcal to stay because all bad reviews but i can say things must have changed this place was a great stay for me ,rooms were clean no bugs and very very friendly staff. Also very quiet.. its not real fancy like some hotels, coffee was in the lobby instead of coffee makers in the rooms but for the price of 45.00 a night i will walk to lobby.. i would recommend u guys giving this place another try Dont think u will regret it

Plantation Inn 2810 NE Evangeline Thwy, Lafayette, La - Disgusting

This was the worst place I have ever been to. The 1st room had a roach crawling up the curtain. I asked for another room, there was a roach crawling on the wall near the air conditioner. This place looked like a pay by the hour motel. The front desk staff was very rude and unprofessional. I have never been treated so badly. When I asked for my refund, I was denied and told to leave the property. It was 2am in the morning and I had to find other lodging for my family.

Terrible place

Just needed somewhere to stay for one night while traveling to Florida. Seemed decent enough plus used a coupon from Hotel.com free book. What a mistake! Should have known better when I spotted the first baby cockroach in the bathroom. Early the next morning spotted a slightly larger one on the counter in the dressing room area. Decided it was definitely time to go. Told the lady at the front desk when checking out about the roaches. She apologized and said she would have moved us to another room. My thought was if one room has roaches what are the chances that another room won't have them as well. She stated she would let the owners know and again apologized. Will not be staying here again!

Disgusting, dirty, horrible customer service.

We stopped here because our Son became car sick and it was closest to where we were. We have a small dog and they said she was allowed to stay. My husband checked in and got our room key. Upon entering room, we immediately realized it was a smoking room. We don't smoke. The lady at front desk wouldn't switch out room. My dog immediately went under the bed. I pulled bed out and saw a small cockroach and there was old food, possibly feces under bed. We had been in room 20 minutes. My husband asked for our $50.00 room fee to be returned and lady( I use the term loosely) refused. We left anyways and went to clean, friendly Motel 6 down the road. DO NOT Stay here ever!!!!

Keep driving if you want to be safe.

Don't stay here if you hope to sleep! We recently visited Lafayette and decided to stay here because it was close to the highway. Yes, it was inexpensive, but...it was extremely run down, and we did not feel safe. During the night, there were people hanging out in the parking lot, bottles being broken, and fighting in general. At 1:30 in the morning, a foul-mouthed woman was banging on all of the doors, looking for her man and his "guest". Then there was more fighting and cars screeching and crashing into each other. We tried ringing the lobby, but no one was there. Relieved to find out that our car hadn't been damaged, we tried to go back to sleep, but there were people fighting in the parking lot and other rooms all night. Early the next morning, we high-tailed it out of there, thankful that we safely made it through the night. We drove to the south side of town and checked into the Candlewood Suites. That cost us $40 more, but at least we were safe and got a good night's sleep.
