worst hotel & manager
ANN Con 17/10/2016 23:00was there 8/7/16-8/10/16 and the rooms were the worst i have ever been in and the manager or owner made sure they were never around because they knew they had ripped us off. after returning home i tried 8 times to call carol & she was never there. i was scared to use the electric as the fixtures were falling off the wall. the shower didn't work, the room didn't lock from the outside. ripoff hotel & lowlife ripoff manager. stay at your own peril.
Disgusting
Dawn Mon 26/09/2016 14:47We arrived around 3:00pm. This was to be our last stay during a five day/four night trip mostly spent in the western UP of Michigan. We checked in at the desk and went to our assigned room. The room was dingy, run down and just disgusting. There was a old hair brush and old worn socks just outside our room on the sidewalk. We didn't even stay. I politely returned the room keys to the front desk, said our plans had changed and didn't ask for a refund. We just drove the remaining 5 hours home instead.
You get what pay for. Don't expect much
Marquette50on 23/09/2016 03:47When we booked this hotel we had read all the reviews so we were expecting the worst. Well we have stayed in two hotels worse than this one by far. The hotel was better than the reviews. I suppose it depends on what room you stayed in. Our room was clean. The bathroom was the worst room, in need of a complete makeover. The tile is cracked and the fixtures old. The Manager said they were in the process of updating all the rooms and that our room was one of the few not updated. Considering the hotel was not.full on this very busy Labor Day Mackinaw Bridge Walk weekend I wondered why we did not get one of the rooms that had been updated. The staff we encountered were friendly. They advertised free Wi-Fi but it did not work in our room. The free breakfast consisted of Bagels yogurt muffins some other little cinnamon toast type items and coffee. We paid a very small room rate compared to the exorbitant prices that the rest of the hotels in Mackinaw City charge on Labor Day weekend. Because they are in the middle of an upgrade we would give them a second chance to see if they really improved they have a long way to go compared to the other hotels in Mackinaw City. This hotel was originally opened as a Motel 6
Don't book
Alan Won 27/08/2016 17:25Room was filthy with spiders in the corner, bathroom door broken, tiny tv, steel bar sticking out from bottom of bed, breakfast was a bagel and a empty jelly container, mold in bathroom. We will never go back there
Perfect for a quick overnight
walks017on 23/08/2016 15:10We knowingly booked the cheapest hotel we could find since we were only staying one night on our way to the UP. Keeping the price in mind, Knights Inn was the perfect place to catch some sleep and take a break from driving.
