This hotel was very dirty. Upon arriving in my room I notice the floor is dirty from poor vacuuming, the bathroom floor had dirt caked in the corners that you could tell had been there a long time, the bathtub OMG horrific!!
The bed was so bad you could feel all the springs when you laid down, we woke up the next morning so sore from the very aged, broken down mattress, we wanted to cry.
I WILL not EVER stay nor will I recommend this hotel.

Needed a room at the last minute and regretted getting a room here. The only thing that worked was the shower. A/C didn't work, fridge didn't work. Advertised breakfast but the only thing I found was a coffee maker. Turned on the A/C to max cooling at arrival and at 5 am, the room was pretty much the same temp as bedtime.

Our visit to Payson was a last minute idea to get away and see some nature. Little did we know there was a rodeo in town. We have a small dog and the only hotel options were this and Motel 6, everything else showed unavailable. Motel 6 didn't fit our needs room wise and was more expensive, so Knights Inn it was. We arrived late evening and couldn't tell much in the dark other than it looked like an older building. There were some people, maybe guests, hanging out in the outside seating area when we arrived and throughout the night. We could see in the morning that the area surrounding the location was less than desirable.
The room appeared clean, no hair or dirt in the bathroom, clean floors, sheets looked fresh. It's not a fancy hotel so the decor wasn't surprising, just a normal budget hotel. Shortly before my husband went to bed he pulled back bedspread from the blanket and there was a white stain (yuck)! We know those are not washed often, but they should be if they have "stuff" on them. The sheets were clean and it was late so the spread and blanket went on the floor. The other bed was fine and everything looked to be clean. The AC works great but is super loud it kept me up at night. Everyone else slept fine.
There were only 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 2 wash clothes in the room. They were happy to give us more but this was a room with 2 beds, presumably for 4 people. There were no kleenexes but a spot for them. You also have a choice between which 2 you want plugged in; TV, microwave or refrigerator.
She gave us special instructions for opening the door which was necessary as it automatically locks. It's a pain in the butt honestly because you have to turn the handle to open or close the door. Getting in and out of your room can be very frustrating. Only one outside door appeared to remain locked at night. There's an ice machine and at least one soda machine, which was not operational during our visit. They have free wifi but no breakfast, no pool, no other amenities
It's about 1/2 a mile from the casino. There's a buffet style Chinese restaurant right next door, we did not go there. There's a Circle K and a BBQ restaurant about 1-2 blocks away, we didn't go to that restaurant either. There are several other fast food places and a couple of regular restaurants within 2 miles of the hotel. There's always Pizza Hut if you need delivery.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's convenient depending on what you're planning to do. It was really pretty clean and comfortable for the most part. I was not happy with the surroundings and some of other clientele made me question the safety. There are also people from the surrounding neighborhood that use the parking lot as a pass through.
If you just need a place to sleep at night and bring all your stuff inside it's suitable for that. If you plan on hanging out at the hotel for any amount of time or are expecting something nice, I'd find something else. Next time we plan to camp in the forest or stay somewhere else.

This hotel was comfortable and clean. There were no fills, but it provided for all the needs of a few nights rest. The sheets, towels, room and pillows were clean. The microwave, tv, mini fridge and air conditioner all worked. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The outside is in need of renovating and attention, but my room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bedding was clean, and the room include a mini-fridge and microwave. The air conditioning was nice and cool. The staff was very friendly. Advice: just go into the reservation knowing that you are not staying at a Hilton.
