Magical, even spiritual experience
DelhiDeniseon 01/07/2017 15:10Having lived in India before, I was thrilled to meet the owner, a very nice man from India. He and his wife are committed to serving others via this hotel. The night we were there, the family was working on making the sidewalk around the hotel look more pleasing with a rock type of decoration. After reading some of the other reviews I was a bit worried but thought the location warranted trying it out. Our experience had no barking chihuaua, and no noisy neighbors. True, the breakfast is not elegant but I had oatmeal, juice and an apple. Extra special was that one block away was a yoga studio (yoga wave I think it was called, that had a fantastic class from 7-8 PM for $10. Great instructor and only 3 people in the class. One block the other direction has a brewery, the Prodigal Sun where we ate which was good. We could bring out dogs to the outside seating. There is some grass just behind the hotel in the bank area, otherwise it is sidewalk. About 3 blocks away is a river walk which was nice for the dogs.
Overnight Stay
Samantha Son 30/06/2017 18:13We stopped for a quick overnight stay on our way to Utah and found this surprising little gem in Pendelton. An older hotel being renovated by a beautiful, warm family. Rooms are tight, but clean and comfortable with new beds, furniture, and carpeting. We would certainly stay again.
Nice, quiet, clean place
Matt Bon 30/06/2017 00:53Although this is an older hotel it's well-situated and maintained. The hosts are gentle and kind and the units are very clean. It's close to the riverwalk and downtown shopping. We'll stay there again I'm sure.
Hidden Treasure
Nancy Gon 18/06/2017 18:53Stopped here when we couldn't drive any further! The beautiful hanging flowers created a welcoming ambience. Registration was super easy and the staff very welcoming. Our room was on the second floor and tucked behind the turquoise door was a fun room whose size told us that this hotel has been around for awhile! Brightly painted walls and modern bed coverings made the room very inviting. It was a bit tiny for three adults but it was a good value. The beds were super comfy and the shower hot....what more could we want! Only complaints were that the toilet ran all night and the breakfast offerings weren't Celiac friendly. The coffee was hot and plentiful and my husband enjoyed the freshly made crispy waffle. We would definitely stay here again!
Comfortable Bed, Not Noise Proof
Glen Hon 14/06/2017 06:41Though an older Howard Johnson in a previous life, this property has been renovated and is still under renovation. The rooms have comfortable beds, new TV's, new carpet and have been repainted. The room we stayed in was very clean. The sheets and towels smelled fresh. The beds were well made. The shower had plenty of pressure, with good hot and cold water. My only complaint was the other guests were very noisy and the room was not very sound proofed. We had a yapping Chihuahua upstairs whose owner did not sleep all night. We also had families with little boys that were constantly screaming and shouting. We only got several hours of sleep at most. The breakfast is very basic, whose high point is the waffle machine.
