lying business

me, my bf and my 3 yr old had stayed at this hotel twice. The first time we stayed wasnt bad, the second time we stayed we had asked for a non smoking room. The room stunk so bad of cigs I wanted to puke, and cig burns all over the place. We were all tired enough we decided to stay anyway. Went back a third time only cause we didnt know of any other cheap places to stay in the area. Was told we couldnt stay there cause we broke the bed the last time we were there. I would like to know how you break a bed while sleeping unless it was already broke. Every time we had stayed there we got there just in time to watch a show to relax a bit so we could go to sleep, wake up the next morning, drink some coffee / chocolate milk and leave. We were never there long enough to do any damage. I am very pissed cause I am not the type of person to destroy other people's property. I try to be a very courteous, honest person.

My review of this nice motel...

Andrew S on 05/10/2016 08:46

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay on Orbitz as I was originally planning on being in this area long term...but, also a motel/hotel that didn't look like it was run down or in a bad part of town...when the hotels/motels populated for the TriCities area, 2 things caught my eye : 1. The initial pictures of Richland Inn and Suites, and also, 2. The price of the room for the pictures which I was seeing. That being said, I decided on booking not just a night but a weeks stay based on the reviews I read and what I was seeing in the pictures. Fast forward...I arrive, and what a nice motel!!! Upon pulling in to the front office, you could tell that someone has put some TLC into this quaint motel in the heart of Richland. There are alot of aging motels across America, you know the ones that have history and a personal feel to them, and when you drive by them, you think, 'Wow, that place looks so neat if it just had some TLC and some Customers'. Well, this was one of those places and it had the TLC applied and I was fortunate enough to have been a customer. Visit, and you will see. My favorite part of my week at Richland Inn and Suites was the Caretaker/Manager named Johnny Arivas (sp? Rivas/Arivas???) I have met some really neat, cool people in my life, and, Johnny is one of the people at the top of my list. If you happen to drop by this motel, if you have extra time at all for when you find yourself there, Go and Get into a conversation with Johnny. It won't be long before you lose track of time. What a neat guy. My only regret about staying at Richland Inn and Suites was that I didn't get to spend more time with him and the other employees. Oh yeah, the rooms have been redone/refurbished....there are several inviting areas around the property to go and relax and think and maybe find yourself in a conversation with someone cool...the motel has charm and you feel like you are there year 1 for whatever year it was built (kind of like being in a real live TechniColor movie)...not a blade of grass out of place/not a weed in site...nicely kept and accessible walkways...a rooftop grill area for cooking and gathering with people...the pool was not open yet, but I believe that will come in the next year and I could understand after what I could see was a lot of money pumped into the life of the motel...this place was quite the surprise. Ok, so I'm long winded but and I am in no way affiliated with this motel,or it's people...I just wanted to give it the respect and the recognition for what is obviously what it has worked for. 5 Stars in my book. Keep it up Johnny and all the employees there!!!

Great value

I stayed here on a Saturday night in July while fishing on the Columbia. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and it was only 60 bucks a night. There was a good Chinese restaurant across the street that had a 10 dollar special that would have feed two people .I would stay here again.

Friendly

The motel was not very new, but clean and the staff were very friendly and caring. they advertise wifi but it did not work. there was not enough shampoo or soap and . and the breakfast was not a big deal.

Clean Room, Friendly Staff, Reasonable Rates

Stayed here just one night while in the city of Richland. The staff at the front desk are friendly. Johnny(Manager) is a cool and funny guy. Motel is being renovated so some of the rooms still need a bit of work. Overall experience was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Not noisy. WiFi signal was great and fast. Nice flat screen TV in my room. Mini fridge and microwave.
Will stay again.
