Convenient location but little else
umfriduson 17/04/2017 16:24It's less than one minute walk away from Kawaguchiko train station, and we could see Mount Fuji from our room. Combine this with an affordable price tag, and it's hard to complain too much.
That said, the staff here are by far the most apathetic we've seen through our trip in Japan, totally lacking in friendliness or courtesy. Facilities are spartan. Soundproofing is very poor so any noise outside in the street will be clearly visible in the room, but luckily the street quietens down after sunset.
It's a convenient base if you plan to spend most time outside and transit through Kawaguchiko station frequently, but it's not an accommodation you'll want to relax in outside bedtime.
Ok budget accommodation
Ruth Bon 24/09/2016 14:13Room was fine although there were a few bugs crawling around. Bit basic overall but very close to the train station and not far from the lake. Also got free brekkie (omelette, salad and toast) which was a bonus.

Iam33Looion 04/05/2016 13:24The location is great as it is just in front of the Kawaguchiko train station and it would be convenient for you if you travel from Tokyo. The room is simple and they served breakfast at their restaurant. We bought the tour package with steamboat dinner provided where we found was great! Mr Koe is a nice guy and he will introduce you the history of Kawaguchiko and so on. The shared bathroom is on the ground floor and the facilities are quite "old". If you carry a big luggage it will be your nightmare as the staircase is killing!!

Geeegyyon 21/04/2016 06:23Great location, exactly in front of Kawaguchiko train station, very convenient if you travel from Tokyo. Japanese style room with very comfortable futon and a heater. Shared bathroom with water heater and toilet. There is a restaurent on first floor.
A Japanese experience
cikwanroon 23/03/2016 11:31Japanese traditional room! I love it. They provide free shuttle to the hot spring. Simple but nice breakfast at their restaurant. They serve steamboat too. The owner, Mr Koe is a very nice guy. It is just a walking distance from the train station.
