Two night introduction to Mumbai

My husband and two boys were met at the Airport by the taxi sent by the hotel . Right from the beginning the service was excellent . We were taken by one of their drivers the both days on a tour around Mumbai . With limited time we felt we experienced many of the main sights of Mumbai . My 16 year old boy enjoyed Mumbai saying " he liked the fact it was by the sea" The buffet breakfasts and dinner were good providing plenty of choice . There are two other restaurants as well . The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable . We were provided with tea/coffee/ water / fruit in the rooms . The hotel organised the train trip onto Goa . I would recommend this Hotel . The pool looked great but we ran out of time to enjoy it . Next time!

I am widely travelled but my favourite is Kohinoor Continental. Close to the International Airport with the metro station 15 steps outside the hotel, the connectivity is superb. Check in and check out both take less than a minute with staff who remember your name if you are a repeat guest. The staff who come for airport pick up ( Shoeib and Avinash) are extremely courteous, brisk and warm. The Inroom dining service is fast and the food is hot when it reaches the room. Housekeeping took less than 15 minutes to bring back my suit ironed to perfection. The Solitaire restaurant food is really good and the service outstanding.Ms Rupesh, Mukesh, Ganesh and the rest of the team. They are always willing to make that special dish for you if you give them adequate notice ( I prefer less salty, less spicy , less oily cuisine) and one can make out that all of them sincerely care. Overall, I find everything upto the best standards and something that many of the highly over rated 5 star hotels would do well to learn from and emulate.

Stayed here for one night between 02 August to 03 August 2017. The hotel is very located in the Andheri area close to both the domestic and International Airports. There are plenty of public transport available just outside the hotel. The check was smooth but I again repeat from my previous stays....guys at front office smile at least once when a customer is checking in. Its a very cold welcome by the reception staff. The room on the 3rd floor was quite comfortable and nice with all standard amenities. The house keeping had always a smile and wishing when ever they passed by. The buffet breakfast is very good and the service staff are very friendly and cordial. This was my fourth or fifth stay at this hotel in the last couple of years. Will stay here again during my next visit to Mumbai.

Arrogant Staff, Always Says No..

Staff behavior is rude and seems like untrained unprofessional. They simply tells you "NO" upfront before even trying to fulfill any small request. Make sure one must report on time at breakfast lounge or else they won't allow you to enter to have the breakfast and the staff has got the audacity to banged the Restaurant door at your face if you are late.

Location on the main road of Andheri, Rooms are neat and clean. Wi-fi does work smoothly too.

I have also observed that the staff has a miscommunication issue as I left my baggage in the room and requested to store it in the cloak room so that I could collect it in the evening after finishing my whole day meetings but when I reached hotel I was asked to pay half day charges by front desk staff against late checkout. Also my tariff in the email was mentioned INR 5000 + GST on double occupancy which I reconfirmed at the time of check in. While settling my invoice I found that I was charged a wrong tariff of INR 5500+ GST. The email was very clear but in spite of that I had to explain again and again and had to spare extra 30 minutes in the hotel lobby.

I have stayed in this hotel 3-4 times and this time they have showed me the real true colour. I will never come back in future as it's not a value for money at all.

I have been planning to visit this hotel for past few years, during my frequent visits to Mumbai. I really wish I should have used their facilities earlier.

If you are planning to visit Mumbai for business in Andheri, Kurla area or for that matter looking to stay near Airport you can seriously consider this hotel. Let me give you pros and cons.

Pros.
1. Excellent connectivity. Centrally located in Andheri Kurla business district.
2. International Airport 10 to 15 Minutes drive
3. Domestic Airport 20 to 30 minutes drive depending on traffic.
4. Well maintained rooms.
5. Good quality of breakfast.
6. Parking space for cars.

Cons.
1. Small bathroom.
2. Limited non veg variety in breakfast. should have at least 1 more item.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality maintained by the staff. Kudos to management.
