What People are saying

Pleasant stay, great food and convenient location

LiesbetDMon 27/08/2017 11:06

We stayed 1 week with 2 children (10 - 12 yrs) in a room with a private pool.
There are about 6 of these rooms next to eachother so you always have someone in the neighbourhood.
The room was ok, although we would have liked more shelves to store our clothes.
The bed for the children was a sleeping couch and was not really comfortable.
There are 2 other pools : the central one and another smaller one on the first floor, but the seats there are reserved for the rooms in that section.
The beach is nearby. 2 beds and an embrella cost you 10euro per day as this is a public beach. We found it quite dirty (cigarettes all over). Watch out for rocks and stones in the water. Both children got hurt by them.
All-inclusive does not cover all drinks. Wine was not that good and another one cost you 5 euro per drink.
Lunch was served in the taverna. Nice scenery and enough choice.
We had dinner outside at the restaurant every evening. There is plenty of choice and it was really good.
We tried the sauna for an hour as it was free once. Would not pay for it.
We loved the quiteness. It was never too busy. Service was really good . Compliments to Jennifer at the reception (very friendly, always smiling), Stavros at the restaurant (quick service although always busy), Lucas at the taverna (always ready to help), Sunny for the nice body and mind sessions and the cleaning team as you never bothered us.

A nice break

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Sea Beach. First impressions were good - nice clean reception, very pleasant reception staff and a nice cool flannel and orange squash on arrival.

We had room 312 which has a little garden but the view was predominately a wall but if we stood up we could just about see the sea. Didn't bother us much. The standard room is adequate although if someone stood at the foot of the bed you did find it hard to pass them which made the room feel small.

Nice bottle of complimentary white wine and fruit in the room on arrival - nice touch and what we have come to expect from a 4/5* hotel in Europe.

Food was good at all sittings and the Ammos al la carte food was delightful. The lamb was amazing.

The drinks at the bar for all inclusive members consisted of vodka (Absolute), gin (Beefeater), Whiskey (MacKenzie?) and brandy oh and of course beer, soft drinks etc. All other drinks that were on the self you had to pay for. This I may add isn't uncommon in hotels in Europe, although some hotels we have been to have discounted drinks for all inclusive guests if you wanted a top end brand. Oh and if you want fresh orange (not squash) in your Vodka you have to pay for the orange!

What we did to get round this was buy our favourite brandy / whiskey at the airport in the UK and consumed in the room - so all in all we didn't feel like we were missing out.

Bar staff & restaurant staff were all very friendly and we had a good laugh with some of them.

One thing about Stalis (not the hotel's fault by any means) is the constant quad bikes and scooters zooming past. So trying to have a quiet and relaxing drink at the outside bar proved to be a challenge.

There are 3 small to medium sized pools : one for babies/toddlers and the other two for the rest of the guests. These were predominately taken by youngsters and teens jumping in and bombarding each other with lilos so not as relaxing as we thought it would be so only went into the main pool twice in the week. That was a bit disappointing as we like to chill out in the pool with a drink in hand. So we spent our days sunbathing in the garden area before you get to the pool which was really quiet.

We ventured out a couple of times : to Knossos & Heraklion to see the architectural site and then the museum - good trip and the other was an evening Jeep safari to see the sunset from the top of a mountain - complete with evening meal at a very nice tavern.

It was a nice break and glad we went.

Faultless stay

From the moment we arrived to when we left was faultless. Staff were attentive and very friendly. Hotel was clean and tidy. Food was excellent. Need I say more. May well return.
Only problem was returning to work after such a relaxing time.

Summer escape 2017 Crete

Arrived to Sentido Blue Sea Beach and I was not really impressed. We had reserved a standard room and we received a standard room with slightly out'dated furniture. The swimming pool was small specially for adolescents and the sea side was, a narrow sandy beach. BUT everybody was really and sincerely kind, polite, helpful and professional. They try to make your vacation as pleasant as possible. The main restaurant was really delicious and varied. The restaurant a la carte "Ammos" was excellent. I booked a private dinner as a birthday surprise. The restaurant manager explained very kindly the menu and prise in details. We had dinner on a private balcony with a mesmerising view on the sea, private waiter- sommelier and a six dish menu which was a culinary journey. Sous- chef Panaiotis indulged us in tastes we didn't know and a high level cuisin you wouldn't expect in a small summer resort. Loved the people and at the end they made my trip unforgettable.

Amazing Stay

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had the best holiday ever .On arrival had a towel &fresh orange juice which was very gratefully received after a long day ,check in was very easy and the staff on reception were the best.
Room was always cleaned to a high standard with fresh towels and fresh bedding every day .The complamentry fruit &wine in the room was greatfully received.
All inclusive, was the best food ever and I can be a fussy eater but omg everything from breakfast to lunch &dinner was great &so much choice The staff in restaurant were brilliant and a special mention to Maria who looked after us every night &breakfast time and was like a best friend by the end of our two weeks The two managers that were always on hand and welcomed you every day at meal times were very caring too, enjoyed always having a wee chat with them every day .
The bar staff and drinks and evening entertainment was very good nothing was ever to much trouble for them .
Stalis is a fairly quiet resort but suited us fine as we don't like over busy resorts and the people were very very friendly, always willing to have a chat every time you passed their establishments . The men that stood outside the English bars were very persistent in trying to get you into their pubs but after a couple of nights you learn to go to other side of road to avoid them ,They should take a leaf out of the Greek peoples book and just be purelynice and non touting .
Thank you again Sentido Blue Sea beach and can't wait to return Xx
