Not a bad hotel
Simon Fon 06/04/2017 17:10My colleagues and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of weeks while we were working in a nearby town.
The hotel was clean enough, however some parts of the hotel are starting to look a bit dated. It is not a modern hotel, if that is what you are expecting.
Most of my colleagues and I experienced a lot of problems with the wifi in the hotel. Specifically, the wifi would not work in many of the rooms that we had. However, when connecting in the lobby area, it is fine. Not so good when you want to Skype or FaceTime to loved ones back at home.
The breakfast is the usual European menu with not too much choice or variety. The evening menu is also quite limited. The hotel only has a small kitchen, so this accounts for the limited choice.
Overall, not a bad hotel. Would I stay there again? Maybe for business but not for pleasure...
Thoroughly enjoyable stay
alannaLondonon 30/09/2016 21:26I stayed here with my parents while we visited friends who live nearby. The hotel, while basic, was spotless and the staff were so welcoming and friendly.
The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The shutters on the window meant the room was pitch black at night and perfect for a good night's sleep!
The staff were helpful and chatty, the owner is a big rugby fan like myself and was happy to talk sport! We were also lucky to meet the local football team who were there before their match and I understand the local rugby team are often there too!
The hotel is a short walk into town but there are some shops and a supermarket nearby for water etc. There is a nice boulangerie that you can sit in just up the road if you don't want to eat breakfast in the hotel (although there is plenty of choice there and it is served until 10am). The hotel also serves dinner during the week at a reasonable price although, as we had plans each night, we did not try it.
My parents had stayed here before and we will most certainly try to book this hotel the next time we visit.
Rock hard bed!
youspurs1on 31/07/2016 08:42We stayed on a Sunday. Restaurant closed so we had to go out for dinner and found a fantastic brasserie in the town (next to the Best Western)
Pool looked very welcoming, but we arrived quite late so didn't use.
The room was OK, but the bed was like a rock! I got no sleep and struggled to stay awake while driving the next day.
Wifi was the slowest we experienced anywhere, almost unusable.
wifi not working in the room, owner of hotel present but refuses to take care because it is free
awyschon 22/07/2016 18:16room correct, good bathroom and separated toilet. nice small swimming pool well kept, nice garden. pitty for such an uncommercial owner, rest of the staff rather friendly and smiling. i do not reccomend stayimg in this hotel, where you depend on the good or bad mood of the owner.
Last minute reservation for a great hotel
Jeff Hon 10/07/2016 21:10The staff of the hotel made our stay most enjoyable. The room was nice and amenities good, especially the pool in the hot weather. We were encouraged to go to the old town for dinner and to see the light show, which was a valuable plus to our visit.
