Not bad
travellingtim51on 19/07/2017 20:17As somebody said, "you get what you pay for". My room was more than adequate, clean sheets, clean linen and a kettle with a couple of cups. The bathroom was clean and the proper shower cubicle is a bonus. The wifi is nonexistent in the rooms but works well in the foyer. The breakfast was fairly standard but the coffee is delicious. I'd probably stay here again if the George V was full, it's handy for Sacre Cœur. I recommend a visit to the Chartier restaurant on the Rue de Faubourg.
Simple hotel in a great location
Lucy Hon 17/07/2017 00:05Stayed here for two nights recently whilst on a short break seeing the sights of Paris. Conveniently located; just a short walk from a small supermarket where you can buy everything from snacks to fresh vegetables, a few minutes walk from a metro stop and the Moulin rouge. We had booked as we were going to see a show at the Moulin Rouge and didn't fancy travelling across Paris afterwards.
The staff were friendly, they even booked us an airport transfer for our departure day. The room was fairly spacious, and the beds were comfortable enough.
The lift was slightly dodgy, we did get stuck in it once! But staff apologised and it didn't happen again so we didn't let it put us off. It is a particularly small lift so be aware.
The one thing which was slightly bizarre was having to leave your room key at reception when going out for the day, but perhaps this is a culture thing I'm not used to? That being said, it was rather comforting knowing we didn't have to worry about keeping the key safe whilst sightseeing.
Good location! You get what you pay for.
Andreea Non 09/07/2017 22:02The location of the Hotel is very convenient, very close to the Pigalle metro station, a Carrefour supermarket and in an area with a lot of pubs and restaurants. It is also quite close to the Moulin Rouge and the Sacre Coeur Basilica.
The room was ok and clean. The sheets were clean and so were the towels and pillows. We stayed there for 4 nights, the towels were changed daily and the room was cleaned. The bed sheets were changed once during our stay.
There is no AC in the rooms (we were aware of that though), so beware if you book the room in the summertime.
The staff was friendly and welcoming and gave us recommendations of places to visit.
Overall, we got what we paid for, an economy room, in a good location, close to important things for a tourist (most the metro and bus station) on a short stay in Paris.
DO NOT STAY HERE
Jane Con 26/06/2017 19:40I never ever write reviews but this was a horrible experience. We paid a peak price of $200 for this allegedly 3-star hotel--it was in worse condition than the worst hostels I've stayed in. Dirty, damaged walls, stained beds/sheets, ratty blankets that made me feel like I was in some sort of drug den. Bare bones to the max--not even a cup in the room to drink water. The best part? No AC and not even a fan as temperatures reached 95F all through the night (35 C). When I paid I suggested they look into equipping their rooms with a fan at the very least, and she just ignored me and swiped my card.
well we wanted somewhere cheap to stay and I guess you get waht you pay for
Mike Won 19/05/2017 22:04if you want somewhere posh and pay for the best then this is not for you, we found it basic but it suited us, and was close to all we wanted to see and do, the staff were very helpful and the room was not that bad, well not as bad as some of the other reviews I read before booking,
