Nice surroundings
seadragon99on 02/06/2014 09:24Located near a busy intersection though still in an attractive spot next to an apricot orchard in the Rhone Valley. The hotel is a bit tired but with friendly staff. The restaurant is good without being anything spectacular. This place made for a good overnight stop on our way to Lyon.
Handy for the A7!
traceywFranceon 19/09/2013 15:09This 2* Logis branded hotel is very handy for the A7 (j13). It's quite basic (and the decor a little tired) but the owners are friendly and the evening menu looked good (although we didn't eat in the restaurant). The rooms are all differently themed. Ours had a small terrace. The hotel is not far from the village of Mercurol which is quite pretty and a short drive from Tain L'Hermitage which has all amenities.The traffic noise kept us awake; there was barely a pause from evening to the morning - which wasn't ideal for us as we had a long way to drive the next day. There is plenty of parking - which the owners keep locked overnight. The hotel is not open for arrivals until 4pm (the gates are locked until then) which didn't feel very welcoming when we arrived a few minutes early (having driven from Italy) and were unable to park near the hotel to wait for it to open. Breakfast was fine - with a good choice of pastries and drinks available.
