Lovely food, very friendly owner and decent room
David Jon 03/08/2015 16:49Used this for a stopover on the way to the Alps from Caen. The lady owner could not have been more pleasant and obliging. The food in the restaurant was really nice and very reasonably priced. A perfectly adequate room for my wife, myself and our two teenage sons; clean but basic.

sodge2013on 03/09/2013 22:04Madam was friendly & welcoming, she not only attended to the varying needs of our party but anticipated them. The family room for four was spacious clean and comfortable. The Hotel has retained many original features. The food was well cooked and thoroughly enjoyable. The menus and rooms were very reasonably priced. Highly recommend Hotel L'Ange Couronne.
stop over hotel
mongojones1966on 02/09/2013 13:34We used this hotel as a stopover on our way to the South of France. In our group were 6 adults 7 children.
The lady who runs the hotel was very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were large and comfortable. The hotel was an old building and full of charm. It was an ideal stop over and we also enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant.
They were a few little shops but nothing much else nearby. A nice quiet location.
We were able to park all 3 cars in the garage, although a bit tight it was safe and secure great as all our belongings for the onward holiday were in there.
Breakfast was nice and a very enjoyable overnight stop.
A perfect overnight stop
kyairion 16/06/2013 18:14After 5 hours on a motorbike in heavy rain I wasn't a pretty sight when I arrived at the hotel. Dripping my way into the reception I said I had a room reserved and Madam batted not an eyelid, was very welcoming and showed me to my room chatting about the awful weather.
The room was ideal for me, clean and functional. After getting rid of wet clothes (I have never been so wet in 40 years of motorcycling) a hot shower and finding an almost dry shirt and jeans in my panniers I went for dinner.
I had taken a dinner, bed and breakfast option (excellent value) and knew it was going to be a risk what I got to eat but I was more than satisfied with a large piece of pate to start with chicken as a main course and nougat ice cream for a pudding. Washed down with a pichet of a robust red I was nicely set up to collapse into bed and hope the morning brought better weather.
I told madam I was leaving early the next day to collect my wife from Marseille airport and she made sure breakfast was laid out earlier than normal for me.
If I'm going that way again I'll have no hesitation in rebooking.
