A possible 'home' away from your home
Jobie Con 22/08/2017 09:28Our stay at L'hotel Elan was meant to be a staycation, a weekend away from all the technology, work, distractions and this hotel more or less achieved our vision for the weekend.
The room was spacious, with a window seat, looking out onto the ocean. That being said, you can only see glimpses of the ocean. The view is mostly consisted of the surrounding buildings and rooftops. Regardless, that being said, the utilities were technologically advanced. The interior design was modern and soothing. It was without doubt an amazing stay. The bed was certainly big and comfortable, albeit short to suit asian sizes. The pillows were quite soft, it would be nice if they had a selection of harder pillows to suit different customers, but not necessary a 'make or break' ordeal. The bathroom was also well decorated and spacious with a sizeable stand in shower.
The food from the room service was decent as well. We ordered the japanese wings, beef burger and the eggs benedict. The beef patty was cooked perfectly and was flavourful. The eggs benedict was a disappointment but we didn't expect much to begin with as it is Hong Kong afterall. The wings were really good, but the sauce was quite salty.
The other utilities within the hotel were not as the picture described. Certainly there was a gym and a pool. However, the sizing of the gym and the pool were very different to what was conveyed over from the pictures.
In summary, our stay at this hotel was delightful and I would certainly come back again.
Surprisingly good, out of my expectation
vianleeon 11/08/2017 07:33I stayed for 4 days during my business trip. Room is huge in HK standard, modern design and beautifully decorated. Buffet breakfast is good, plenty of choices and staffs are all friendly and attentive.
There are 2 MRT stations nearby, kinda convenient.
A small retreat from the bustling city
Gregory Non 08/08/2017 09:41Stayed here for a night and luckily we got upgraded to the suite because of being repeated to the hotel.
The hotel itself is located close to the factory city - Kwun Tong. So I think the position is targeting the local mid-scale corporates guests. I can say the hotel is quite boutique and it is a high rise premise.
The check-in lobby is on the high floor overlooking the great view of the city. The semi-open gym and outdoor swimming pool is on the same floor too. Quite a lot of local guests waiting for check in when I arrive the lobby. It seems they also target local as they provide packages exclusively for HK card holders. There is another lounge area offering unlimited coffee and tea there.
We got upgraded luckily and the room is surprisingly spacious. It is the only chartered ecological hotel in Hong Kong. They also give educational messages to guests for Hong Kong local geographical information like rock types, ecological parks, etc. They also have art pieces in the room featuring the rocks.
Though the floor is high, the view is only overlooking the industrial buildings or commercial offices. We had a good sleep for that night. As the day we stayed was raining, we did not use the swimming and gym neither.
We had dinner in their one-and-only restaurant. It is a semi buffet style and we took the main course from the ipad. Choices are good and we enjoyed it a lot.
There are lots of shopping malls like APM nearby so there are lots of things to do despite its location.

on 30/07/2017 03:08Its our first time staying at elan gave a chance to try out this hotel. I spend a night with my kids we enjoyed very much especially my kids, they love swimming at the pool on 35/F. Nice view but a bit small.
Surprizingly we got an upgrade to a bigger room spacious enough for us. Price is reasonable included free minibar drinks, Awesome!!!

lux77_13on 28/07/2017 19:14First time in Hk, nice experience more than many other hotel eu chains: clean, spacious room, gym swimming pool, close to city center, staff very helpful, careful about small details, very rare feature for modern hotels. Strongly recommend!!!
