Very quiet in the French countryside

This is a very charming refubished French country farm. Our room was fairly large and comfortable. The hotel had a lovely continental breakfast. Dinner was in a neighboring town (there are not many local restaurants). A hidden gem is the cheese factory in this town - don't miss it. I would stay here again.

Quiet, clean and charming

This is a nice hotel. We spent one night there and are very pleased with our experience. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was huge. You can buy some bottles of wine at the front desk but no food, although they offer a breakfast in the morning (we didn't try it so i can not comment on it). As previous reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit far from everything which is why we liked it!

A three star hotel with two star service

There is neither a restaurant or a bar at the hotel. The hotel it self is quite nice. It is a typical country side hotel and the rooms are fairly good. But there is nothing there. There was no bar and no restaurant. The closest restaurant was about 15 to 20 minutes away. Due to pouring rain we did not feel like walking to the restaurant and when we tried to order a taxi, we were told that no taxi was willing to drive us due to the short distance to the restaurant, so we had to pick a designated driver.

Ideal stop for peace and quiet

We were returning to UK after 3 weeks touring around Northern Ital and decided to go a little up market from IBIS/Novotel. We found this beautiful little village easily and were warmly welcomed by the receptionist who was extremely helpful. As it was a Monday afternoon when we arrived from Chambery so, of course this being France, there were no obvious eateries open but we were given a list of those restaurants in the area that were open. One was only a few minutes walk away (3 minutes in car), We were allocated good, spacious, room over looking the inner court. Very clean, well appointed with better than usual towels and toiletries. There is no actual bar in the hotel but wines etc. can be purchased from reception. We bought a bottle of Macon Blanc and sat in the court, in the sun, drinking a very fine wine. The wine came with a good selection of tapas type nibbles which were much appreciated. We had walked to the next village and found the restaurant noted on our list but were unable to make a reservation as it was closed but another receptionist offered to make he booking for us and let us know if she was successful; she was and we were very grateful for that as the restaurant was fully booked by the time we got there. Breakfast was a typical continental one with the, unexpected, option of having bacon and eggs cooked for me. What a bonus. The slight downside of breakfast was, if you wanted an espresso or cappuccino then there was a 1.50 euro surcharge however the hotel coffee was much better than average so we weren't bothered too much. Slightly more expensive than the usual run of 'traveller's' hotels but well worth it. Handy for the Burgundy wine route being very close to Vougeot, Nuits St George, Macon and Beaune. There are other restaurants in the vicinity but be careful when ordering wines as they can be ultra expensive. Recommended
