Lovely place - tranquil
Arjan Pon 04/06/2017 10:40We spent 4 nights at Stephania and Roberto's place (and Chiche, a quiet and senior Dachshund): Tucked away on a hillside, with views on the Siena skyline and over Plano del Lago. It is charming boutique b&b (hotel?) next to a 13th century chapel. The owners are very friendly and helpful with info, drinks and food. We had dinner twice here: private dining, good prices 4-5 courses of local dishes for 35eu and they have a selection of good wines. In the direct vicinity there are multiple hamlets with some old church or building and nature for a hike. We'd totally recommend it. You'll need a car/taxi to get there (it's over 1,5 km uphill from the nearest bus stop).

W Hon 05/05/2017 22:14We booked two nights at La Canonica based on a friend's recommendation and we are very glad we did. Our hosts Stefania and Roberto were so warm and helpful, from the extra treats like including vouchers to see the Duomo in Siena, to the delicious breakfasts that featured local cheeses and meats and homemade crostata and coffee cakes, which we enjoyed outside with a spectacular view of the Tuscan countryside. The location is peaceful and refreshing and the entire B&B is beautifully decorated, as is the Rosa room, which is very spacious.
Stefania's help with lunch and dinner recommendations/reservations and suggesting activities was very welcome and ensured we had a relaxing and enjoyable visit.

RobtL12on 25/01/2016 03:03We found this place on the advise of a travel agent. The price was right. The location delightful. The breakfast wonderful and filling - on cafe tables in the yard overlooking the garden. Ten minute ride to great eats and sightseeing in Siena.

john_chrysostomon 04/12/2015 01:19The hosts are friendly and helpful, the house is quaint, the property is beautiful, and the breakfast is massive. Couldn't be better. They even upgraded us to the largest room for free since nobody was staying there. Probably our favorite place we stayed in Italy!

We spent six wonderful days . The beautiful hills near Siena . Claudia and Carlo hosts generously with much warmth and caring . Excellent location for a home base allow toget to any site in Tuscany. Highly recommended.
