Christine Aon 07/06/2017 16:08This is a small, family-run restaurant and hotel. Our tour came here for lunch. They were quite busy when we arrived but were very accommodating by offering complimentary beverages and quick bread service so we didn't get too hungry while we were waiting. Our meals were all outstanding and definitely worth the wait. It's rare that a group of 14 can all be satisfied. The portions are generous and the desserts spectacular! My pork chops were yummy!
Hidden Gem for lunch

It is a small city with dodge looking small restaurants, so it was a relief and a good surprise to find such a nice place with good food.
The travel guide suggested it and it was a really good 3 course meal.
A Little Gem Hidden Away

The hotel is beautifully decorated wth bright colors and local carvings and artifacts on the walls. The gardens were charming and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. We were three for lunch and ordered a la carte, not from the set lunch 1 x grilled trout, 1 x local spicy chicken dish ( can't remember the name) and I had a beautiful fresh salad with local avocado, cucumber, lettuce and cheese and a carafe of the local red fruit drink The owner is a lovely man and although there was a language barrier we enjoyed ourselves. What the previous reviewer obviously does not understand is that you were staying in a cheap country hotel in Peru. - You do not have the luxuries of the expensive hotels. These are basic rooms in a charming lodgel and remember you get what you pay for and this is a very popular tourist area
Lovely lunch
NickDavison 29/04/2017 22:12Stopped here after the usual 3 sites in area. Pleasant room and a nice lunch. Three started with chicken crepes which were nice but the best starter was the Cause de Pescado an organic potato based dish with Tuna. Main course we had 1 local trout in creole sauce and 3 beef in garlic and white wine sauce. All delicious. Dessert we all had Passion Fruit moose. A lovely meal.

on 20/04/2017 02:53Was organized by our tour operator. Guess it fit into our schedule, but this is nothing special at all. Very simple food and the quality is poor. People extremely friendly, but that does not make the food any better😀
