Great location, ski in, ski out, second week in April

I stayed here the second week in April (8-15th) with my three children (age 15, 13, and 8). We booked through Crystal, I was expecting a two bedroom apartment and was a little surprised/disappointed to find that we had a one bedroom with a sofa bed in the living room and the apartment was much smaller than expected (the pictures on website clearly show large apartments). This did not detract from our holiday in anyway though.
The location is great, ski in ski out, close to ski school meeting point. The hire shops, supermarket and restaurants are just across the Place d'Olympique from the accommodation. There is a larger supermarket, more shops and restaurants in 1950 which is accessed by the Cabriolet lift. There is a great waffle shop next to Cime des Arcs. You can order bread/pastries at reception each evening which are then delivered to your door in the morning. Free wifi in apartments with pass code supplied by reception (essential for teenagers!).
There is a swimming pool which we used a couple of times, its quite small, but ok for the kids to have a play in at the end of the day. You get one large towel and one hand towel for a week, which we did take to the pool, so no need to bring your own if you can manage with that.
We were self-catering and managed to cook in the apartment on four nights, there is a microwave, toaster, hob but NO OVEN in the 2-4 person apartment. An oven would be good. I'd sacrifice the dishwasher for an oven. Plenty of utensils, pans, etc.
We ate out at three restaurants (subject of separate reviews), we found the food to be expensive and nothing special/average quality.
We loved Les Arcs, there was plenty of snow (hard in the morning, softening by 11am and slushy in the afternoon). The snow line was receding rapidly over the week, due to the very hot weather. It amazed me how the pisteurs manage to keep a strip of white down to the lifts at 1600 when there was green grass either side. There was a great mix of runs for us, lots of blues.
We had ski lessons from Evolution 2 with three out of the four of us having a very positive experience and great instructors. My youngest son was not so lucky with his instructor/group.
Overall, a great holiday.

Great apart-hotel. Ski in ski out even at end of the season ( first week of April ). Staff very welcoming and pleasant. Good food around and easy access to Les Arc 2000. Enjoyed a great week's skiing.

We were delighted with our stay at this outstanding apart-hotel. We booked through Voyage Prive - which came with a terrific price for the package (flight, transfer and accommodation).
The quality and standards of this residence are outstanding. Very friendly and helpful staff; a special mention for Sophie on the front desk who was charming and wonderful - she even magically produced a bottle of Schweppes Tonic Water when I found out the local shop had run out. Our G&Ts were quickly lined up.
The apartment was clean and tidy, and the location directly onto the snow covered central Arc 2000 plaza (Place Olympique) was but a few steps from the ski locker room. As convenient as it gets.
See if you can booked a room on the side facing up the valley. Draw back the curtains in the morning and behold the view.
The swimming pool, steam room and sauna were well used at the end of the day. If you can't bear to leave the world behind there is free to use, high quality WiFi/internet.
Great selection of nearby restaurants to choose from - although make sure you visit The Savoy for a fabulous dinner.
Thanks to everybody at Cimes des Arcs for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.
Ski in, ski out.

I recently stayed here as part of a crystal ski holiday. The apartment was great (not massive but it had everything we needed), really well located and the reception staff were very helpful (and friendly). It truly is ski in, ski out.
Could not fault it

4 of us stayed in a 6 person apartment and plenty of space and well equipped and great choice for being able to ski from the front door. Very friendly staff and good value daily bread option to have it delivered to your room as long as you put in your order by 7pm the night before. Nice balcony and stunning views of the mountains and fabulous skiing at 2000. Towels and bed linen provided at the start of your stay and it is up to you to keep the apartment clean, though you can pay to have an end of stay clean but expensive and unnecessary as all cleaning tools are provided. Good size locker for skis and boots on the ground floor and hotel also offers a small swimming pool, sauna x 2 and small gym. Will go back as suited us perfectly.
