Last night of our holiday
Adrian Gon 04/09/2016 13:38Hotel was well-placed for our last overnight stop on the way back to Cherbourg to catch the evening ferry next day. It is situated outside of the town but well signposted and hard to miss. Set in its own grounds, the hotel looks from the outside like a small chateau. There is plenty of parking space, and a friendly welcome awaits at reception. The lack of lifts meant that we had to carry our suitcases up two flights of stairs - no assistance was offered. The hotel does have charm, and our room at the end of the corridor overlooked the grounds and was certainly large enough, clean and comfortable. The downsides were only one bath towel and one hand towel for two people, no shower curtain around the bath made showering difficult, and the WC plumbing made an appalling noise each time it was flushed - all relatively easily solved, I would have thought.

Jessica Bon 08/06/2015 14:42The hotel looks absolutely lovely from the outside and I think it is a great decor for anybody looking for a wedding venue. However, for this occasion I staid in this hotel for 3 nights for a business trip and was not that impressed. The room design was pretty old fashion and the water temperature from the shower kept on chaning randomnly all the time. Once it would be cold, once it would be warm...One evening we decided to have dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and we had to wait pretty long between our starter and main. Probably something between 20 to 30 minutes...
Where have you hidden the hotel?
rideaumanon 30/10/2014 19:49We had a very lovely drive , from our first hotel, near Rouen, but then spent about an hour driving around looking for this hotel. There were a couple of signs , but they were not helpful.That said the hotel was very comfortable, pleasant staff, and excellent facilities. We stayed for two nights and the dinners and breakfast were first rate.
Comfortable
Margaret Won 06/10/2014 14:11Stayed for two nights on the way to Angouleme. Rooms were comfortable and bathroom good. Meals were very good. Service could have been a little better but they were busy. Overall we would recommend as a stopover.
Charming
Peter Kon 01/07/2014 22:46We booked for just an overnight stay and were very happy. The grounds are lovely and the hotel looks charming. Staff were very welcoming and our first floor room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We did not use the bar but food in the restaurant - dinner and breakfast - was very good. Our only complaint concerns drunken visitors leaving at 2.0.am (our room was above the entrance). Their noisy behaviour was not the fault of the hotel, but staff could have made an effort to quieten them.
We would book again.
