Family run B&B that we used as a good alternative to Highway hotels

When we travel long distances by car after a long drive we tend to choose small family run hotels rather than highway hotels. We booked this hotel a couple of days in advance just to take a rest after a long drive coming back to Barcelona from Switzerland.
The hotel wasn't easy to find in dark night(11pm) and when finally got there the house was fully locked and seemingly uninhabited despite we had called ahead in the afternoon and left a message on the answering machine(later the owner told us that she had been walking the dog out and forgot her mobile). After knocking for some minutes, a sleepy dog seemed to wake up and proceeded with the corresponding heavy barking which eventually had the owner(and the other guests) paying some attention to the entrance door. All that said, the owners where extremely nice and hospitalable to us.
The room was big and ok for up to four people but it unfortunately lost many points when we discovered that our private bathroom had no door (only a cozy courtain). Included breakfast was a bit scarce. Despite I wouldn't recommend this B&B other than for short stays, I must say that I would definitely come back again as we left with a feel of relax. There are domestic animals and rural activities in the area which make the place ideal for families with kids. Parking free.
Friendly B&B in useful location

Stayed here for two nights B&B + evg meal. Good location for touring the Vercors. St Jean-en-V just up the road has shops and bars/restaurants if you choose not to eat in. Proprietors friendly, but limited English. Room quirky but good (clean and well equipped). Breakfast typical bread and coffee and dinner good home cooking. No air-con, so not so good in high summer. Small pool for the kids and outdoor space to laze about.
