No daily maid service, office open only a few hours in the evening, self check-in when office closed, good way to communicate is email. Rooms 27 and 23 are one double or maybe two singles with small kitchenette and dining table. Room 23 is on ground level and has nice shared patio space. Room 27 easy walk up to shared terrace. Room 29 is larger with seating area and is very near shared terrace area but no lake view. Also on top of office appears to be a nice covered dining area with a BBQ? All rooms clean, bright, nice windows, no issues. Elevator works fine. Room numbers don't indicate which floor they are on.
Wifi barely adequate. Reading using Ookla Speed Test. Ping 167, Download 0.63, Upload 0.87 at 11:40PM on a Wednesday night.
To avoid steep steps from harbor up to room, when you get off the ferry, walk to left along waterfront (Via Roma) continuing along Via Roma until it turns 90 degrees right then a hard 90+degrees right changing into Via Garibaldi. The hotel is along this street, Garibaldi. You can roll your suitcase along this route. Some of our party took steep stairs, some took longer route, we all arrived about the same time.
If staying more than one day, suggest buying the two day or six day central lake boat pass. Ticket sellers at Varenna and Bellagio docks very helpful.
Suggest going to Lecco via train out of Varenna, eat at Pizzeria da Rida, ride the ferris wheel(Ferris wheel closed typical hours in middle of day).
Daniela will recommend places to eat. La Punta has great lake view but, IMHO, it needs to be a warm evening so one can sit outside on patio without the plastic windows. See review of La Punta.
So friendly and relaxing in a beautiful setting
Veronica Ron 09/04/2017 17:53All the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We brought our little dog and she was made to feel equally welcome. The apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious with stunning views over Lake Como. Fabulous!

baez578on 10/01/2017 05:37Spent two wonderful days here with my family. The rooms are very well kept and the staff is very friendly. You couldn't ask for a better location as everything is within walking distance.I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Calm & Relaxing

Sylvain Non 27/12/2016 18:11Very nice place, clean and well furnished. Our studio had a big terrasse. Small view over the lake. Nice garden with lemon trees at the entrance of the appartements. Central location, 5 minutes walk from the lake.
