Charming, But Not The Way I Prefer It To Be!
Stan040on 12/08/2016 10:50We just spent 3 nights at the villa and I am disappointed. Well, to be very honest, somebody might love the place - entering the front door, you start a trip in the past. The old architecture of the building (which is actually the only thing I liked!), the fireplaces, the tiled ceilings, the very old, cracking furniture, the artefacts and souvenirs from here and there, the dust covering some of them, the spider nets covering others - everything takes you to the past. These, combined with the fact that we stayed in the rooms below the road level (yes, there are small courtyards with some rusty furniture in front of them) made my stay not very pleasant. On top, the landlady serving the breakfast, did not seem happy to see and serve us either, so... I won't repeat!
Charming and warm B&B
Kenneth Jon 23/05/2016 22:48Excellent service. Very clean. Big rooms and good bathroom. A lot of antiques and charming details. Doors to the rooms could have been better (a bit of a struggle to lock and not sound proof), but not a big problem. Good breakfast with coffee of different types. Fruit. Yougert. Pastries. White bred. Cheese. Ham. Salami. Breakfast on common table. Very nice when traveling with a group of friends, but maybe a bit much traveling as a couple? Be aware of steep stairs (not best place for small kids or elderly). Definitely recommend!
Great Spot in low-key Bibbona
Nicholas Ton 20/09/2015 20:35We wanted to get to the coast on our trip to Tuscany and this B&B was a great option for us in Bibbona. Although some state that no one is there, that risk can be mitigated by contacting them ahead of time and understanding how the B&B works. It was no problem for us and in fact we found the two folks who helped us (their names escape me) to be very kind and helpful. The breakfast was great and we were able to even do laundry which was nice midway through our trip. Make sure you take a walk up into the older part of Bibbona. We walked up there one evening and maybe saw one other person, but the streets and sidewalks are out of a movie.
No one there
katfish1952on 24/07/2015 12:09Showed up at property only to find a note pinned to the door with a number to call!!! Thank heavens we had a SIM card in which to call from. This was at 4 pm in the afternoon also. I know this is a bed and breakfast but it should be staffed in the day. Stairs leading up to rooms are very very narrow and quite a haul with heavy luggage. I wish I could recommend this property but beware if you book they may not be there!!!
Gorgeous B&B in Bibbona
SolangeIon 31/10/2014 21:23Villa Toscana is a gorgeous Bed & Breakfast, elegant, cozy, and very comfortable. The owners, Riccardo and Mariquita are charming and welcoming. I was enchanted with the beautiful room with vaulted old brick ceilings, ample fireplace and gorgeous antique furniture. Mariquita has wonderful taste, and it is reflected in the beautifully appointed rooms. Ours was a spacious suite with a private garden, gorgeous! We were greated at breakfast by their beautiful dog Lazslo, and treated to plenty of delicious baked goods and breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, local honey and jams as well as espresso or cappuccino made to order. We spent several hours around the table in the front room after our excursions to Bolgheri -- where you can visit their store Villa Toscana, where you will find gifts, antiques and home accessories -- and to the beautiful towns on the coast, which are about a 30 minute drive from the hotel. I would highly recommend Villa Toscana.
