Lovely hotel, great location and service
49glson 23/05/2017 00:20The hotel's location can't be beaten - it's right across from the main ski lift in Les Gets. The breakfast is superb, and the lounge bar and restaurant are great. Our room was good - quite compact but very comfortable. The staff and service at the hotel are also very good. Only area for improvement is that the wifi speed is patchy - it was fine early in the morning, but declined significantly at peak times.

bohlin2016on 03/05/2017 20:40This is really a nice hotel. Everything from the check-in to the checkout feels so personal. The lounge area is one of the few where you actually don't mind hanging out in, even if the weather is nice... There is a spa where the massage was fantastic and to top it all off, it's just across the street from the main ski lift!
Amazing location. Wonderful breakfast. Spa loooovely.
Whetstonecookieon 06/04/2017 07:15This hotel has everything going forward. Location. Location. Location. Wonderful breakfast with dreamy croissants. The spa was very well appreciated after a long day on the slopes. Very convenient to the lift and rental store next door. Staff very friendly. Likely on high on the price side but well worth it.
Fantastic room, great service and great location
Leon Ion 20/03/2017 10:55We were fortunate enough to book the duplex room for 4 nights during our ski holiday. The size of the room and the finish were excellent - very comfortable and warm.
The restaurants were excellent as well and the lounge area was extremely comfortable and extensive.
Only room for improvement is that the breakfast could be a bit more exciting and sometimes we had to wait for hot elements.
Could be sensational - Sadly, it isn't
Jeremy Kon 15/03/2017 16:10On paper, this hotel should tick all the boxes for a great skiing holiday.
Gorgeous wooden finished building in the heart of a lovely alpine village.
Les Gets is genuinely beautiful.
Ski lift literally 60 seconds walk from the boot room.
Spa, swimming pool, great restaurant and cosy bar with inviting fire place.
All these things are true.
But the devil is in the detail and the detail of this hotel is actually quite annoying.
The rooms are compact. The bathrooms tiny with appalling hand-held showers (not even a simple angled bracket on the wall to hold the head fixed in place) and thin plastic trays that depress with each delicate move.
Floor tiles around the cramped toilet are cracked and broken.
Throughout the entire hotel where fittings have been replaced or upgraded, the holes from the original remain unfilled/unpainted/unvarnished.
This is also true of the swimming pool area that has a large cracked glass pane and peeling skirting with holes in the wooden ceiling where light fitting used to live.
Even unconnected cables, at high level for, presumably, an electrician to finish installing new lighting?!
‘Rustic’ does not mean incomplete.
The free Wi-Fi offered, only really works in the lobby and some parts of the bar.
I tried several times to check work emails which was entirely pointless, as is face-timing with family. It’s 2017. Get it sorted.
The breakfast service in the restaurant is a matter of timing (and luck). If the hotel is full, it’s a chaotic mix of pot-luck and sturdy resolve.
Plates of freshly replenished food may arrive before your machine-dispensed coffee gets cold, or you could just go for the bowl of choco-pops!
It’s a shame really.
The evening restaurant is excellent, when it’s open. When your hotel is full, why would you limit the service you offer your guests?
The problem I have with this place is the lack of investment.
It’s clearly tired, shabby and in desperate need of a refurbishment and yet we’re asked to fork over huge amounts of cash merely because of its location.
Having friendly and attentive staff and quite good discounts at the ski hire shop, is simply not good enough when you’re charging very high rates.
Whilst checking for dates and locations on TRIPADVISOR, I noted the extremes in prices these hotels charge. The same room I stayed in was 50% more a few days earlier.
At these prices this hotel is comparable with The Tschuggen in Arosa, The Nevai in Verbier, The Grand Hotel in Zermatt or The Albert Premier in Chamonix, all of which are significantly better.
