We had a very good stay. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Had a nice breakfast. Our room overlooked the inlet. The front desk clerk was very friendly. We were transported to the cruise port and picked up from the port. I will definitely stay there again. LaQuinta Inn & Suites did everything they said they would.

Everything was excellent about our recent stay at La Quinta Charleston Riverview !! Check in and check out was quick and easy !! Our room was clean and spacious with a view of the marina . The breakfast was good with a balanced selection of food !!!

I decided last minute to visit Charleston, so I was limited in my choice of hotels. This one was one of the less expensive ones, but still around $120 per night. The front desk staff was friendly, and the lobby is what you would expect for this price range in Charleston. The outside of my building, however, was very shabby. It needs paint, and curb appeal. The handrail on the steps that lead up to the rooms was broken, which is very concerning. Also, my room faced the interstate, so there was a bit of noise. I was surprised when I entered the room. It was super cute and modern. I was shocked at how big the bathroom was. That said, there was what appeared to be a bodily fluid stain that I won't mention, on the dust ruffle. I have enclosed a photo. I don't know how housekeeping could have missed it. Gross. Breakfast was okay, about the same as I had experienced in North Carolina the days before. I was excited to use the fitness center, but nothing worked. The treadmill was missing the button you use to speed it up. The weight machine was stuck, and nothing more than a hazard. What a waste of space. I was also happy to see a laundry room across the hall from the fitness center. I was going to do laundry while working out on my last morning. Neither option worked out. It turns out, they don't have any laundry detergent for sale on property. Even the Quality Inn on I 40 in East Tennessee had a little vending machine with detergent. Basically, the fitness center and the laundry room are just a waste of space. I did like staying across from the marina. That was kind of cool, but I would probably opt for an upgrade if I returned to Charleston.

Excellent location stayed there for a wedding and it was a great place . had my pet with me also
Room was nice , CLEAN and comfortable .. A/C was quiet which is important to me .. Im a light sleeper .

Low tide twice a day results in the area smelling like garbage, it was coming in through the A/C causing my wife and both to have headaches within the first 30 mins! On the way to our room we saw sever roaches the size of small cats! There was a bra hanging on the back of the door in the bathroom and sheets felt as though that hadn’t been washed in quite a while! This was the worst place we have ever stayed in!!
