One of the few hotels that still has smoking rooms....that cigarette smell lingers in the elevators. Also, the hotel only had double beds rather than queens. Carpet was worn at elevator entrance. Bed was comfortable.

We went with a bare bones room, 2 beds, no fridge, no microwave. Wifi in room was easy to connect to. Large flatscreen tv had channel guide. Cement building with interior rooms really cut traffic noise. Very clean rooms, bathrooms, vents, corners, bathtubs, countertops all scrupulously clean without any tell tale disinfectant smell. Had charging ports for cell or iPad in room. Snack vending prices were over the top. 2.50 for a 16oz bottle of soda. The breakfast consisted of 3 cereals, oatmeal, apples, bananas, yougurt, waffles, muffins, bagels, white bread, margarine, cream cheese, syrup, jelly and peanut butter. Milk, coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice, water with lemon. Beds were well made, mattress firm, padding on mattress. Sheets and comforters. 3 pillows per bed. 2 bars soap in restroom and 1 tiny bottle of shampoo. One issue:no vent fan in restroom!

I am business owner and traveler . Upon arrival Carroll at the front desk greeted me with a smile and enthusiasm . She went out of her way to make sure I got my rewards information. The Astros were playing last game to win series and Carroll swiftly got me checked in so I could relax and catch the game in my room. She also explained where the best place for my trailer for parking. The room was super clean and smelled brand new. The lobby , hallways and ice machine areas were spotless! The pool area although it was too chilly to swim , was beautifully manicured! All staff was nice to meet and my stay wAs relaxing! At check out the computer was down but I was emailed a receipt before I got to my truck.. top notch staff and Carroll was extremely pleasant ! Thanks la quinta!

Pleasant staff and clean facilities. Key location for our business needs. After several stays at this location I can easily say that this location has always gone out of their way to help use and see to our needs.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was apparently renovated, so everything looks very trendy. The bed was confortable and the rooms were so rummy and well equipped.
The breakfast is free and is very good!
We made a roadtrip to see the Astros and this was a great option for an affordable and comfortable stay in Houston. We will definitely come back!
