Cat Friendly in Kansas City
Lindsay Aon 30/06/2017 23:14Originally, we had planned on staying in St. Louis while moving across the US with my cat. When we arrived in St. Louis earlier than expected, we started searching for cat friendly hotels in Kansas City. Most hotels ended up being pet friendly but not cat friendly, or full due to a baseball game.
I finally came across a La Quinta near the airport that had a King room left. The employee we talked to on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. She was able to book the room for us over the phone and provide us directions to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk agent was also helpful and friendly.
The room was gigantic! Seriously we could have done cartwheels if we wanted to! There was a large sitting area, a small dining room to the side, and a king bed. The room was clean and looked to be in good condition. The only complaint I have is regarding two smells in the room. First off, the room did smell like someone previously had a bird in it. It wasn’t horrible for us but could be to someone who is sensitive to smells. Secondly the shower curtain smelled like mildew (probably should be replaced).
I personally thought the hotel was great for what we needed. There were a lot of restaurants nearby (fast food and sit-down). In addition, a ton of shopping if we needed anything. If I was traveling across country again, I would definitely stay here. The hotel was conveniently located by the freeway.

danwP8792BBon 19/06/2017 15:20The hotel has a overall good appeal. However, it is showing some age and will need some renovations. Additionally, at the last renovation that happened there was a challenge with quality control and completing the project completely. The real issue we had on this trip was with the cleanliness of this room. It was very disappointing.
Great stay
Christopher Don 15/06/2017 03:01The staff is first class and the room was so clean and refreshing. I'd recommend staying here again. The only problem I had was the area isn't very large to walk your dog. My dog wasn't thrilled with the small area he had to sniff around
Disappointed to say the least
Simon2468on 14/06/2017 13:54I have always felt that LaQuinta's have been a nice choice of a hotel to stay until this one. The WI FI hardly worked. My husband stated the exercise room was lame but the beds were comfortable so we did sleep well. Would not return to this one.
Excellent Stop Over
Terrence Pon 31/05/2017 13:20My wife and I choose La Quinta primarily because of being pet friendly without the extra charge many other do. Aside that. This was an excellent hotel. The staff was GREAT. A special thank you to Cathy with a C and Kathy with a K for their professionalism and help as my wife is ADA with an additional need or two. We will be back as a stop over on our next trip to Minnesota. Thanks again to all of the staff.
