1) The initial reservation was from a GROUP Reservation that was fraught with issues during the set-up process (reservation expire date was before the actual signed contract & start time-frame). 2) Received email confirmation of reservation which was somehow cancelled (not by me) with no notification/confirmation sent out - thankfully there was one room left vacant. 3) Room had an awful stale cigarette/smokers odor (as if it had previously been a smoking allowed room before the hotel moved to 100% smoke free) even though staff said it was one of the rooms already updated. 4) The lobby & breakfast area seemed to have no A/C or fresh air movement on a very HOT day leaving most of us feeling sick from the heat while trying to eat breakfast. 5) Hotel looks very much in disrepair with no real signage of in-progress updating / construction.

Everything was perfect esp the bed!

We have already recommended this hotel to all our family and friends because we were so comfortable. We usually stay at the marriott hotel and are so glad we have found a hotel that compares but is less expensive, easy to check in and out and has 5 stars for service and comfort.

Lacking LaQuinta in Salem, NH

First visit to this LaQuinta:
The location was easy to access off the highway. There were many people standing in front of the hotel welcoming us by sending up smoke signals into the atmosphere. On entrance, the check in process was extremely simple. We were sent to our first room within minutes.
I say "first room", because as you will see in the pics (included) the bathroom seemed to be unfinished with exposed piping in the ceiling. The plaster was also missing. This was not a real issue. The issue that concerned us most with this pet friendly hotel, was the pets (ants) that were occupying our bathroom. *The room for this night was charged to the ants.
We were moved to another room located on the first floor. The double queen size beds were already broken in with large sagging areas. The beds were not a true queen, but more of a full, get cozy with your sleep partner size. The bathroom in this room was actually completed!
2nd night...We arrived back to hotel to find a typed sign stating that our room would not be serviced tonight because of staff shortage.
3rd night...Very friendly staff in hall outside our door as we re-entered hotel; they delivered clean towels and washcloths to us.
*(Another night room was not cleaned.)
The previous pets (ants) from the first room, came to share in our waffle and muffin breakfast that we got from your wonderful breakfast area. We freely gave the unexpected guests, the food, (it's the Christianly thing to do), then we headed over to IHOP for breakfast...and Walmart to purchase Clorox bleach wipes to clean up after the pets/guests.
4th night...Even after we cleaned the desk area with Clorox, ants remained. (See pics included.)
Maybe we should have brought along ant repellent.

Since the first time stayed at this hotel with my wife it always comes to my mind first when i want to get away again. The staff always answered with a smile... They even tried to answer technical questions and if they could not they directed me to where i could get the right answer.

Very good amenities in these premises. . Extremely courteous staff at Reception. All other services provided with efficiency and efficacy. Breakfast arrangements provided were very good. Location of the hotel .for nearby business or pleasure travel was very good. The arrival and departure processes were very efficient.
