EM 2017
SundogSmileon 05/06/2017 16:40Nice location. Easy to check-in and staff both in evening and morning were super friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfast area with the various options. Appreciated on-site laundry facilities. Despite there being a number of children in the hotel, it was quiet. This was greatly appreciated as we were traveling with 2 dogs.

SundogSmileon 05/06/2017 16:24Evening and morning staff were wonderful. Enjoyed the breakfast area and the variety of offerings. Also liked the snack shop options. It is so nice to be able to stay at a hotel with our dogs. Despite there being numerous children, all was quiet - again, very much appreciated with our dogs.
Comfortable stay in Salt Lake City
vbintxon 02/06/2017 06:18It feels like family there. We recommend the Executive King room that includes, besides the extra comfortable bed, a pull-out sofa with a coffee table, writing desk with an office chair, great A/C, a good number of DirecTV channels, and a 42” flat screen TV.
There are three lamps in the room, as well as overhead lights above the wetbar/almost-kitchenette (there’s a microwave, refrigerator, sink w/faucet and a dishwasher) and entrance door. It's an older property so there are no special charging outlets. If you need extra outlets, you might bring a power strip to plug everything in at once. There’s a separate closet to store things and hang clothes. Everything was clean and smelled nice.
The sheets were clean and soft and there were five pillows on the bed. There is a clock radio on nightstand and usual toiletries in the bathroom. There’s a curved shower rod, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There’s a carafe coffee maker in the room with coffee and tea options, condiments and plastic cups sealed in plastic.
The ice machine on each floor had a lot of ice and in the lobby, there’s a large sitting area with tables, easy chairs and couches, a huge fireplace and a TV… plenty of places to sit and shoot the breeze.
The breakfast area has a two waffle makers, eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, three kinds of dry cereal and milk, oatmeal, yogurt, pastries, regular and decaf coffee with sugar and sugar substitutes and real half and half, orange and apple juice, real butter, a toaster and microwave. Breakfast hours are from 6-9 a.m.
Of special note is a little sundries store next to the front desk where they sell ice cream, frozen pizzas, sodas, candy and little necessities like pain relievers.
The indoor pool is in an L-shape with the shallow end and the deep end in two different legs of the L. The indoor spa is set at bath temperature, nice and warm, and fits probably five adults. There’s a lounge area next to the pool with some chairs and chaises. The small exercise room is furnished with an elliptical, treadmill, multi-function exercise machine and a TV. The guest laundry facilities contain two washers and dryers, a table for folding clothes, and a chair.
Arianna at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and answered the whole array of questions we asked her. Mukesh, who double-duties as front desk clerk and servicing the breakfast area, did a great job too. Everything at the hotel was fully stocked from the pool towels (nice and fluffy) to the sundries shop by the desk. It’s outstanding how the staff takes care of the guests here.
There are several places to eat nearby (we recommend Ming’s Garden, five minutes from the hotel) and there’s easy access back to the highway. This hotel is a good place to stay while in Salt Lake City.
The address on the Laquinta app is WRONG!!
MikeJenn2015on 24/05/2017 17:58Moving my daughter across country, we were happy to find one hotel chain in each city we would be stopping in that accepts pets. Lesson learned - this particular location was dirty (I mean DIRTY) but that wasn't the worst of it. We were coming in from Denver/through the Rockies and had been pulling a trailer all day. We were tired. It was dark. And the address on the app took us behind one of the power plants and up into a cornfield. We lost over an hour of sleep time and by the time we got to the hotel, the desk clerk was less than pleasant. Very disappointed.
Oh and none of the 5 locations we visited gave our service animal a welcome treat (something they mention on their website). :-(
Superb Customer Service!
JBleeeson 23/05/2017 18:40Traveling from West to East, decided to stay at this La Quinta because they were dog friendly. GREATEST customer service I've ever encountered, I don't remember the name of the staff that I encountered, but I'll just say they're all fantastic! 10/10 would stay here again with that alone. The room was great, I have no complaints and it's reasonably priced.
