What People are saying
Location cannot be beat!
epealson 06/04/2017 21:36I booked this hotel and then second-guessed for weeks before we traveled. Let me say that the location of this hotel is its main selling point - we walked everywhere for a week, from Vatican City to Ancient Rome to the Spanish Steps. The rate we got for the space we got was a very good deal. Some people have complained about the "breakfast" situation and I would add that if you know what you are getting into you will not be disappointed. You will not roll out of bed in your pajamas and go downstairs to a build-your-own omelette bar. You will get a ticket to take to a nearby caffe where everyone will get a cappuccino, a pastry, a juice and a yogurt. By the end of the week, the wait staff knew my family and couldn't have been more friendly. Another nice plus was the car/ride that Carlo arranged for us to get from FCO to the hotel when we landed; rate was reasonable and the assistance was appreciated after 12+ hours of overnight travel. We would recommend to the right open-minded traveler!
Nice room, horrible noise
michellehJ509DYon 13/01/2016 19:37The location of this B&B is the best part of the "hotel". It's within walking distance of everything you'd want to see in Rome. BE SURE to let them know what time you will be arriving so someone can let you into the building and then into your room. There isn't a front desk or anything like that. They just give you keys for all the doors and that's that. We did not know to give them our arrival time so we had to call then when we got there and then waited for an hour until they arrived. The gentleman we dealt with was very nice though! He was super helpful with everything and any questions we had about the city. The room was nicer than we thought it was going to be There was a bedroom, bathroom and a separate "living room" area. We were here for 4 nights and never got ANY sleep. I think the rest of the building up the stairs are apartments and the people above us were SOOOOO rude. They played loud, thumping music nonstop for 4 days, 24/7! It gave us so much stress and anxiety. We couldn't wait to leave our room just to get away from it. So this ruined our entire stay at this place. They really need to do something about those people. If it wasn't for them this would have been a great little place to stay in Rome. You get breakfast at the café right by the hotel and it's enough to fill you up for the morning. Plus, the one day we were there the café was going to be closed so they came in the day before and had plenty of snacks and drinks for the next morning. They also were so kind on New Year's Eve. When we came back from our day of exploring they had left some muffins with two bottles of champagne for us. Very nice touch.
Value for Money
Kathy Zon 27/08/2015 11:09The hotel is small and cozy. Its near the Vatican and Saint Angelo castle. You can walk to most sights from there. Its near the river, ideal from morning or evening strolls. And the best thing about it is how much the staff cares about making your stay a good one.
Thank you Alessandro and Carlo.
Super Stay
Blueygreen87on 22/07/2015 13:01La Residenza dell'Angelo is an excellent hotel to stay in. Easy to find and very great location in the city. Carlo was very friendly and gave us some useful infomation and maps, the housekeeping lady was very friendly also. Rooms come with free wifi and breakfast which is served just across the street in a lovely little cafe. The walls of the hotel are thin but overall we were very happy with our choice. Thanks for a great stay.
Great location, clean room
JPinkermanon 30/09/2014 22:10My wife and I spent a night in Rome before boarding our cruise ship. We arrived early but were able to get into our room without issue. Carlo is very communicative and emailed a couple days before our arrival to get our check-in time. He had a car waiting for us at the airport that brought us right to his front door. It is close to the Vatican, and the Pantheon, and many sites within walking distance. A nice breakfast was also included two doors down the street. I think we paid 120 Euros. The room was nice, overlooking the street and the bathroom although small was adequate and clean.
