Amazing property, even if it is not in the centre
jgregbon 18/06/2017 15:29What a great property. Low key, upscale and beautiful. We stopped here for our first night of our Corsica bike excursion. The rooms are large and very well appointed. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is beyond attentive, without being over the top. The breakfast buffet in the morning is a work of art. The pool and spa area are incredible.
And here is a bonus, there is a winery basically next door to stop in and do a tasting.
Sure, it is not downtown Calvi ( a short 10 minute ride away), nor does it have a view of the ocean, but it makes up for it with what it does offer.

on 17/05/2017 16:13We stayed here for 4 nights. This was our first trip to Corsica. This inn is a slice of heaven. Everything about it is just delightful. Most important is the very upscale, yet relaxed at-home feel. The breakfast buffet was a treat and we hated to miss it on our day of departure. All of the staff went out of their way to make our stay the best possible. Hoping we can get there again next year.

You're captivated by the setting from the moment you enter the estate... a long driveway surrounded by ancient Italian stone pine trees with gorgeous, natural gardens... simple, open, welcoming. You're eager to explore it all.
The service is top notch; friendly and professional. You don't feel you're staying in a hotel.
The rooms are like individual homes. Each uniquely decorated with private balconies and spectacular views of the mountains. The owner -- Jean-Baptiste Ceccaldi -- makes you feel right at home. There is nothing missing. Nothing you have to ask for.
Peaceful - Private - Elegant - Comfortable. La Signoria is one of those exceptional places you keep remembering with great pleasure.
Please don't make the mistake we did
LizziHodgon 05/09/2016 23:57We stayed here a while ago on our honeymoon. I am still shocked at how bad the service was. They made no mention of it being our honeymoon - nothing left in the room or even a "congratulations". We had an excursion booked which we had to get up very early for. When we made it to reception for 7am they said there was no record of the excursion and didn't offer to look into it/sort it out - they just left us with nothing planned for the day, or another day. The lady was so so rude. When I spoke to somebody else about it they said that she had rubbed it off the schdyle as she had forgotten to infirm us it had been cancelled and was trying to cover her mistake up!!! Very very expensive but not at all worth it. I have been to so many better places. Such a shame.
