Country Restaurant
IanMumfordon 08/03/2016 17:12We had a very nice lunch here on a cold January day. The restaurant was quite impressive with a very large fireplace including a medieval-style rotisserie. It is known for large functions and seasonal/holiday menus. The menu was extensive with reasonable prices and regional cuisine. There is a beautiful terrace for warmer weather.
excellent hotel for the price

The service were great, the room clean and the weather forbthis time of year was amazing. And the food, the wine !!!! We'll return to La Touloubre without a single doubt.
Using Logis de France when touring
RodN22on 18/10/2013 17:28Traveling with my wife to a destination in Menton, we decided, having had good experiences at many other Logis, to try this mid-range quiet hotel in the countryside not far off the Autoroute. Initial impressions were good with shady courtyard and outside tables and a smiling welcome. The room was clean and looked tidy but cheaply furnished. The meal we had in the evening was well cooked and presented, with sufficient quantity. The experience that caused serious concern was the following morning we tried to shower and found the water was stone cold, we tried to contact reception by phone without any answer, so descended to the desk at 7.00 am for help, there was no one around so investigated the kitchens and restaurant calling out loudly, eventually to be answered by the breakfast waitress. We made ourselves understood and the person promised to contact the owners and correct the hot water situation. We were not able to shower before breakfast and at checkout we were refused any refund or allowance on the room and denied a reduction of the 10 Euros we were charged for 2 glasses of mediocre wine By no stretch of the imagination can we recommend this "hotel"

lizanneSurreyon 16/07/2013 14:14This hotel is a member of the French Logis system and as such has to maintain certain standards with regard to accommodation and food. The rooms have been given a 2 rating, they are basic, but with ensuite. Clean if a little dated. That said the bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked. A hair dryer and extra pillows were also provided. The breakfast was a fairly basic continental, pastries, bread, a little cereal and fruit juice.
The restaurant has been awarded a 3 rating, plus a tourist award. Weather permitting service is on the spacious terrace and the food is excellent, as proved by the number of locals eating there each night.We had a set menu, Le Terrior" as we were on half board, but there was no problem in being given an alternative dish.
The owner was charming and not above serving in the restaurant. The meals were not rushed and the waiters were immaculate in "whites".
Needs Updating
John Ton 09/07/2013 17:50This hotel needs a major refurbishment. The bedroom was very tired - no hairdryer. When dining the staffing was over the top. It would have been nice to have finished what was in my mouth before the plate was taken away! No atmosphere whatsoever. Never again.
