What People are saying

Wonderfully relaxing and romantic

This is a tradional rather than cutting edge or trendy hotel in a beautiful setting in a charming small town. It is situated right on the sea and the lower pool area permits direct access to swim in the cool clean Mediterranean. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Our deluxe room is large and comfortable with a great view across the port to one side and the sea to the right with a balcony which is wonderful to view the sunset. We are on the 2nd floor and have been rather disturbed late at night by the guests above with sound of scraping objects across the tiled floor so the noise insulation is not good. The room has really good storage space and the bathroom is huge but without a separate shower although i understand they are featured in other rooms. The restaurant is excellent and like all those in the town features freshly sourced local fish beautifully cooked and presented. We are really relaxed here and enjoying the quiet and chilled atmosphere and would absolutely recommend this wonderful hotel which we plan to visit again.

A taste of the golden days of the Riviera

I loved the enchanting place where the Voile d'Or is located, everything in the hôtel made me think of the golden age of the French Riviera. The hotel is elegant, the staff refined. I loved the charm but clearly the room and bathroom could have a small lifting..

Great Hotel to Dine, Relax & Swim in the Sea

Wingeorgieon 10/01/2017 01:22

Wonderful to have breakfast in the open air overlooking the harbour.

Great access to swim in sea in a sheltered bay and the most comfortable sun beds ever, with staff who straighten your towels if you leave your lounger and you can have a superb lunch adjacent your lounger too!

We went to the Sat night spectacular at the hotel too, wonderful dinner and cabaret!

We had a basic room which was fine too, but our only criticism, we were astonished to find smoking is allowed in the rooms and we have to avoid smoke for health reasons and found the musty smell off putting, despite keeping the bay windows open permanently. This would be the only reason we would not return, and why we would not rate 5 star which is a great pity!

The location and all the staff, service and food were impeccable!

One of the best weeks I can remember!

Since our first stay two years ago we had been excited about returning!
The week we have just spent at the Voile d'Or didn't disappoint and probably exceeded our already high expectations!

The staff as before, were exceedingly welcoming from Pascal at front of house to the restaurant staff who welcomed you every morning at breakfast with big smiles, and the fantastic team at the beach restaurant who looked after your every need from setting up your beach beds to making sure you were always refreshed with beautiful rosé wine!

We stayed in a corner room which had stunning views of the port and overlooked one of the most beautiful views the Mediterranean!

The highlight of our stay was walking down every morning to the beach bar and restaurant to be welcomed by Isabel and Muriel and all the team. Our son wearing his shark shorts became know as 'Sharkie' to all the staff who looked after him with great charm, and gave him bread left over from the previous day to feed the fish!

A beautiful weeks stay in one of the nicest hotels in the South of France. We have already booked for next year!!
