Relaxing Adventure!

My new wife and I got spend a week at the lodge. We loved the amazing view, the food was local, fresh, and delicious, and the service was of the most quality. We were impressed by the special use of energy, more specifically in regards to the adobe built rooms and the solar-powered energy. We had the best time getting to choose what we wanted to do each day, and our tour guide, Umberto, who took us up a volcano was extremely nice, spoke fluent English, had thorough knowledge about the area, and cared deeply for us and the experiences we had. I wish there were not so many beans each meal, but it was to be expected. Some of the staff spoke English, but not all of them. Overall though, we had a blast. Thanks so much for such a fun experience, Laguna Lodge!!

I highly recommend Laguna Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. The service was excellent from the moment I made the reservation. The team supported me in coordinating activities that aligned with the experience we were looking for. The answered my many questions thoroughly and quickly throughout the planning process. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with a cool glass of fresh juice (It was SOOO good!). We added the meal package, and it was well worth it. The food was excellent at every meal! They were also accommodating of allergies and food preferences. The views from Laguna Lodge are worth the trip alone! Spectacular! We took some time to hike the nature reserve, and the views from the hammock pavilion were stunning! I can't say enough good things about Laguna Lodge. If you're wondering whether it's worth it - it is! Go for it!

Beautiful Eco Lodge on Lake Atitlan

My wife and I stayed here a couple weeks ago and loved it. It's a gorgeous, award winning boutique hotel right on the shores of Lake Atitlan. The thatch roof style hotel sets the tone for it being an eco lodge, but the rooms are surprisingly spacious and luxurious. All feature big private bathrooms with hot water, king bed, and a private balcony overlooking the lake and volcanoes. On the property they have a small pool, a great deck area for swimming & lounging, a small library/TV room, and an open-air restaurant. They whole most of the mountain side so they built a nice trail to a lookout point/mirador where you can take amazing panoramic pics of the lake and all the volcanoes. Only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was the dinner menu was very limited. It's vegetarian only and we didn't get a choice of meals, it would have been nice to at least be able to choose what we wanted - and even nicer if you could eat chicken or fish! Food was good, but I wasn't interested in being forced into vegetarian food for the entire stay.

Breathtaking Views

If Lake Maggiore and Bali had a baby, it would be Lake Atitlan. Breathtaking views. And Laguna Lodge is situated right in front of the three iconic volcanoes surrounding the deepest lake in Central America. Beautifully appointed rooms, stunning setting. So peaceful. And we had extraordinary service and attention by the manager when I had a little accident on one of the launches. He stayed with us the entire day while my finger was being attended to. Above and beyond attention and service. Our best advice when visiting Lake Atitlan - WATCH YOUR FINGERS WHEN GETTING OUT OF THE LANCHAS! Do not miss. A wonderful experience.

Peaceful Property with pool and great vegetarian food!

Everything about this property was awesome...it's in it's own peaceful part of the lake away from all the crazy but yet just a quick boat ride to the action. Excellent wifi, food, and attentive service. Sometimes communication is a little funny, but they mean well.
