What People are saying

Great place to stay before houseboating

Dejosaon 06/08/2017 00:52

Stayed here the night before we left on a houseboat trip. Comfortable rooms which made for a good nights sleep before the houseboat. Had dinner in the lounge. Good bar food..especially the carne asada tacos. Enjoyed drinks by the pool in the evening. Would recommend to anyone interested in a relaxing evening prior to houseboating.

Convenient if you're spending a lot of time on the lake

We stayed here for convenience because the rafting trip that we were using held the trip orientation here. The place could use a little attention but it was fine. The halls smelled a little musty but the room did not. The shower was fairly strong which felt good and the shower stall drained well. (I really don't like water that puddles at my feet by the end of my shower!) Not sure that I would stay here unless I was spending a lot of time on the lake but it worked.

Stay Anywhere But Here - Don't Bother!!!

Wow. We stayed here with anther couple. Calling this place an overpriced dump is being generous. Check-in was horrible - on a Sunday afternoon none of our rooms were ready, we had to come back twice. The rooms are plain and expensive - $300 a night? Are they kidding? Water front view? We saw the boat launch area. Forget about sleeping, as the walls and floors are so thin that you hear everything. Woke us up on both nights of our stay. In addition, we had ants - my wife left her tube of cream on her nightstand and the next morning there was an ant colony there. I needed a soda late at night - forget it. Both machines were broken. And trash? They are trying to show themselves as 'green' - really? No trash cans at the front of the office, none in the registration area either, I had to go into the rest room to find one, There was one trash can outside of our building, and you guessed it - it was OVERFLOWING with trash. Just what you want to see going to your room. The coffee shop hours are also a joke - they close at 8pm. It's a weekend, 14 people in line, and they close? Really? Do they even know what customer service is? And finally we go to the reservation desk for the tours - we had prepaid a tour for the next day. We give our name. The guy looks at us and says 'did you get the email'? We said what email? He again says, 'did you get the email'? We said no, we are on VACATION. He says, 'well you were sent an email'. I'm ready to rip this guy, and my wife says, what about our reservation for tomorrow? He says, 'oh, it's cancelled and you were refunded. Since you were the only ones on that tour, they cancelled it.'

NEVER AGAIN. We would have left after the first night, but then we would have been charged the second night anyway due to the cancellation time period.

Lake Powell is great - the hotel is okay

The room was decent. We have stayed in Page at hotels there and at Lake Powell Resort. The resort is more expensive and doesn't give you a lot of added benefit. The pool was nice for the kids. Lake Powell is great and the hotel was okay. It is expensive to be right on the water. WiFi is so slow.

Soviet style hotel

2 adults and 2 kids.

If you have ever been to Russia before the fall of communism, this hotel will have a pleasing familiarity.

If that doesn't chime, the hotel is like an airport terminal but without any decent shops or restaurants.

Or a cheap and nasty cruise ship with hoards of people all complaining.

The check in is like being in a line at an overcrowded airport check in. Some check in staff are great. Others didn't go to charm school.

The pools resemble a dirty swamp.

We couldn't wait to get away and return to civilisation.
