What People are saying

Terrible disappointment

tbckon 12/10/2016 02:52

We spent one night here with 5 other couples the last weekend in August. Unfortunately it was my 50th birthday celebration and my friend booked this hotel without checking trip advisor first! This property gets a poor rating in all areas in my opinion. If your only need is a bed and a shower at an inflated price ( we paid $169. For the night with tax), this place would suffice. If your needs are even slightly more, go someplace else!!

Hotel of last choice

I got the last (apparent) room in all of Lake George for the weekend of the Big George triathlon. The price was fairly outrageous. Lemme 'splain:
As the last available room in town, it's fair that the price would be high.
At over $300 for the night, the price was outrageous for what could best be described as shelter convenient to the race start.

The good:
The room was clean.
The bed was not uncomfortable.
It seemed to have been "renovated" recently (quotes are important).
The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful.

The bad:
The bathroom was cramped, to put it mildly.
The recent "renovations" were obvious because they weren't done well (outlet plates not covering hole, toilet paper holder had been moved without patching where it used to be, etc).
The walls are so thin that I spent most of the night trying to figure out how not to hear the person snoring on the other side of them.

The place has seen better days ,but our room was clean, bed was made and clean towels

The place has seen better days ,but our room was clean, bed was made and clean towels for the day we were there ,close to downtown so easy access to pubs, food, shops and short walk to the beach,It was a place to lay our heads ,if your looking for something flash then this isn't it ,on our budget it worked for us

Not the best place,

My husband and I have been going to Lake George to help my dad out since my mother passed away in early July. Because it's "in season" the availability of rooms is limited we ended up here for 1 night. We showed up at 1:45 pm (early) for check in and we were told by the office staff (sitting outside in chairs) that check in 3:00 pm to come back but we could park out car and walk to town. We came back at 3:00 pm and the 2 chairs had Budweiser cans sitting next to them. i went in and the woman at the front desk was crying, I told her I was checking in and she said she needed my credit card and driver licence (she made a copy of both - but I never asked what happens with the copies - do they get shredded??) She was still crying and I asked if she was ok, she said she was fine. Then says I have been in the hotel business for years and i never did this before - I checked someone into a room that someone was already in and he was VERY upset with me. I got my room key (a regular house key with a plastic red tag on it) We got to the room and i had to go back to the office to ask for the internet password - I could not call from the room to ask - we had NO phone in the room. The room is painted mustard yellow - the walls and the ceiling. The remote for the TV was missing the back and the batteries were taped in. We had no clock in the room - i went to open the desk drawer and the drawer fell out.

We paid, because of the time of year, $225.00 for this room! It was NOT worth $25.00.

Awful

FILTHY, disgusting. Walls next to bed were disgusting. We walked out and requested a refund. Manager (woman) laughed at us. Stay far, far away. Our towels, upon arrival, were WET. Someone's hair on pillow. One strand. Room reeked of beer. Door to enter bathroom was dirty, too
