Beautiful resort and nice pools and restaurant. Parker at the marina was very helpful and personable when helping us rent a boat.
The only bad part of our stay was a large wedding party that was smoking by our room at 1:30 in the morning, and again at 9 am. They were standing below our room for over two hours being very loud. The front desk was very accommodating when we called. Excellent service.

My flight on Southwest was great. Once I came into San Diego International and rented a car. I drove from SD Airport to Lakehouse Hotel and Resort, it was quite a drive. I arrived and checked into my room early. But realized that they're was no assistance with me getting my bags to the room, nor vending machine for snacks or continental breakfast when I woke up the next day. So basically no accommodations for customers except an expensive restaurant, didn't see the massage salons as their brochures advertised. Precious, Reservationist told me that there was a Movie Theater on the grounds of the Hotel & Resort. She lied, when I asked about the Movie Theater there was this strange peculiar look on the women's face that assisted me like I'm was from outer space. And prices for the rooms were extremely TOO expensive to not have any accommodations for the customers. I would not want to stay here in the future. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel & Resort to any friends or family.

a little pricey for the area...the walls are a little thin so i could hear people above me, next door and in the halls....also had a crying baby as i went to bed for about an hour which was kind of annoying

If you’re around the San Marcos area stop by the Lakehouse resort. The rooms are nice the staff very accommodating. The lake is very nice and staying at the resort gives you an hour of free paddle boarding or kayak. Two close golf courses and wedding venues.

My family and I recently found this resort when looking for a local hotel to stay at after a Legoland trip. We booked through a third party site that didn't reveal the hotel until after we paid. We were pleasantly surprised as it is about 20 minutes from the park but in a quiet residential area on a lake. The lake is private and the facilities are all recently remodeled. There are great amenities such as a complimentary s'mores kit and a free 30 minute water activity rental. The guy at the front desk wasn't the friendliest at check in but a different staff person let us know about these perks and took care of it. The salt water pools and pool area were nice and the restaurant was great. They also provided a free motorized boat ride if you ate at the restaurant. Overall my family of four enjoyed the one night trip. Rooms were pretty spacious and included a mini fridge and bar/sitting area. It was nice walking the grounds and the boardwalk along the lake. We tried out the kayak rental, which was fun. We also received a complimentary bucket of golf balls for the golf course but didn't get to take advantage. I would definitely stay here again for a few nights.
