If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. There are 2 railway lines, one on the other side of the lake, and one just across the road from the Inn. My room was on, the upper floor and every time a train went past the whole floor shook, the cupboards shook the bed shook, everything shook, and it was loud. Surely some of the people staying could have at least mentioned this in their reviews. i don't understand how anyone could have a comfortable nights stay with the trains going by at all hours of the night. I was looking for a comfortable stay with a nice view. Lakeside Country Inn rated, and continues to rate well. Yes, the room is clean and Margaret was very friendly upon checking in, but that doesn't help when you need to sleep. Any light sleepers out there, please be warned, you will not get a wink of sleep. One last thing I would like to mention, the breakfast is not included in the price of the room- its an extra cost.

Great location for a stop off location on a BC road trip. The Inn was spotlessly clean, lovely location with views and access to a beautiful lake. Very quiet restful rooms and an amazing breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend the Inn.

Situated right on the lake, this is a stunning hotel/B+B with the friendliest host, Margaret. We went straight out to relax on the sunbeds to watch the quiet world go by. We went for a dip in the lake then we used the 2 bikes provided for guests and cycled up to the shop and got food to cook on the BBQ which is on the lake front. Fabulous fabulous stay. Shame it was just a 1 night so over.

This is the most beautiful place! We were provided an upgrade upon arrival and our room was simply lovely and impeccably maintained, with a Lake view. The hosts, Margaret and Donn are amazing people. We spent our 28th anniversary here and sat out on the dock on Kamloops Lake to watch the sunset. The room had a lovely little kitchen with everything we needed and the beds were extremely comfortable. The Inn decor is simply beyond words. Everything is so beautiful! The delicious breakfast was served in a beautiful sun room that over looked the incredible grounds. We just loved it here. Anyone passing through this area should stop here for a stay. This is a 5+ star place to stay. Thank you Margaret and Donn! If we come back this way we will definitely stay again.

My Mother and I came to the Inn for the weekend, while attending a wedding at nearby Pavilion Lake. Margaret and Donn provided the highest level of hospitality, the cleanest and delightful room with grand lake views and stunning finishes. The continental breakfast each morning was a grand start to our day as well. I highly recommend the Lakeside Country Inn to all! Thank you Donn and Margaret!!!
