Great Wedding Experience

Two years ago my daughter had her wedding at Lakeview Resort and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience was. The wedding planners are great and they attend to your every need answer all your questions and seriously all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the wedding day. It was perfect. Needless to say I was excited to attend my friends son's wedding at Lakeview this past weekend. It was great to see that Lauren Shaffer was also their wedding planner and as usual the wedding went off without a hitch. Even though there were 3 weddings at Lakeview that day you would have thought this was the only one. The staff are all so professional and attend to every guests need, the food was fantastic. I cannot recommend Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa enough. Best in the area for a wedding.

Bring your own Febreze

Felt like I was staying in a room that hasn't been renovated since 1994. The room and hallway also had a musty odor that we were forced to deal with. Rooms are also overpriced considering a Marriott less than 15 miles away was about $60 less per night.

Definitely room for improvement with staff and accommodation as well.

Descent bar though.

a great vacation

a great place to go an relax, a good location to go sight seeing, a lot of good places to eat an dine. we don t golf but we did do a lot of walking, the resort is in good location, just a short drive from many things to do.

No less than one available

Like dodging potholes? Driving essentially in a circle to get somewhere? Been coming here for years and observing the deterioration of the place. Water draining from the roof onto upper floor air conditioners causes the wall paper in the room to bubble while many of the lower floor rooms units get mulch on them from the rain. Bathrooms are poorly ventilated, , no refrigerator or microwave in the room, but there is an unsanitized coffee pot for you. Inconvenient outlets and clock that gets unplugged to charge things left that way. Lampshade was stained,windows and windowsills dirty and clothes rack shelf had 1/8" dust on it. Glasses remained beside the corridor walls for over 24 hrs so the occasional shards of glass were no surprise. One elevator for the entire facility and smoking permitted directly outside entrances. Some type of kids camp that was more like poorly supervised daycare had children lining the hall on the way to the elevator inconveniencing patrons and personnel alike. Management said "its only temporary". We left a day early.

Fun golf outing

I wanted to spend some time away from home playing golf. If you enjoy golf, you will enjoy this resort. We picked a golf package with two rounds, accommodations, and a dinner and breakfast. The value was spot on.

First the golf. Our favourite was the lakeview course. It is a tight tree lined classic course. The kind I like to play. You could tell it used to be a private course. Mountainview was a bit more modern but had some quirky holes. Both were a lot of fun. However on a busy weekend expect a five plus hour round. And it lacks a driving range or even a net to warm up.

We ate in legends twice. Decent food, enjoyed a burger and a flat iron steak. The steak was juicy and cooked to my liking. We had the breakfast buffet twice. Enjoyed the omellete station. Looking at the menu prices, the quality of the food was spot on for the prices charged. Again good value.

The accommodations are average, but I did not choose this resort for the rooms.

The people, both staff and customers were very friendly and this ultimately made our trip a lot of fun. Felt that the staff went out of their way to be helpful with a smile. And met some nice folks out on the golf course. I would call this a good value resort where you do not need to spend a fortune to have fun.
