Wayne Pon 08/06/2017 07:05Started my ride today from Kamloops into the Kootnay's from Super 8 down the road. 600km later im back in Kamloops for the night again and I went to trip advisor for your recommendation for my second night in Kamloops. Trip advisor gave the lamplighter 4 stars. Sooo not looking to question I went there. Im here right now and those are my feet. My first and lasting impression is "it's a really nice place". My room. Room 54 is all updated and new. Way better than the super eight. Cost less too. A 2013 Kawasaki versys 1000 adventure rider recommends it.

Shirley Pon 01/03/2017 17:13This motel is right on the Trans-Canada Hwy...... Close to restaurants and 2 malls.... Located in Valleyview, a very clean and quiet motel..... The rooms are clean and updated...................... A little playground for the little tots..............

Nothing fancy, but the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, I actually had a great sleep. The room came with a flat screen TV and full cable.
No complaints here at all. I have stayed in many motels worse than this, but not to many better.
If you're looking for a motel, you can do much worse than this property.
Quick pit stop
Sean Mon 16/08/2016 23:55Making a run from Vancouver to Edmonton, needed a place to crash for a few hours and book at lamplighter. I didn't make it there till 230am and it didnt matter, woke the manager and she was still just as pleasant as could be! Room was clean and comfortable. Was great for a pit stop along the trip!
Extraordinary hospitality
jumptixon 07/08/2016 17:24In a world where people are more interested in making money rather than achieving customer service, this small motel is run with a fine ideal of small town hospitality. Needed a spot to stay, whilst working for a catering company and was welcomed with open arms. Clean room, great housekeeping and reasonable rates, Well worth staying here! So much better than the big box hotels. Customer service in Kamloops is generally poor but this is the exception.
