Apostolos Mon 17/06/2017 15:44This is an excellent hotel that has top notch service and highly recommend it. The rooms are spacious and the beds-matresses have gteat quality of sleep. There is free wifi and parking, great breakfast and top nitch swimming pool. Ovetall very professional and great experience. Breakfast a must as well

Magnificent hotel!
tjmutchon 09/06/2017 17:59Driving through Spain in a classic car we booked The Landa because it has secure, free parking. It's able to offer this as it stands in its own grounds just off a main trunk route so a taxi ride/drive into the city centre.
We did miss the entrance on our first time and used the Saturday Nav to get us back. If you don't have SatNav then approach the hotel entrance slowly! The road noise could not be heard in the building.
The hotel is a converted 14th Century stone tower and attached house and is a magnificent building.
Our room was in the house and was charmingly decorated with a full bathroom.
The attached restaurant and bar are very spacious and full of old charm and we found the staff to be very good. There is an indoor pool which has to be seen to be believed and and outdoor one too. Check which is open as they are seasonal. The reception provide pool towels.
We dined in the restaurant as we didn't want to go into town and had a fantastic meal with good service and a delicious local Tempranillo!
The beds were comfortable, the shower good. We didn't have breakfast though as we drove into Burgos first thing and had breakfast there.
If we ever return to Burgos we would definitely stay at the Landa again.
Pretty but missing some details
wineandfoodon 05/06/2017 22:02I was charmed by the old castle feel and pretty decor in the reception area. The rooms were spacious with several extra touches. There were a few points that they missed to make an outstanding visit. #1 service in the cafe was lacking.... quite a bit. The hotel is located a little out of town so once you are here, you most likely want to stay put. It was very difficult to get waited on and when we did got an individual bottle of twist off sub par wine....
In the morning the service was a bit better although breakfast was not included with the room. I was looking forward to cafe con leche and I got cafe americano with warm milk on the side. A small point but still a bit disappointing. Another small but important point was the hair dryer in the room.... from circa 1950 and barely worked. Time to invest in new hair dryers! I would like to give them 3 1/2 stars but no option for that. I can't say that it was very good but it was a bit better than average
Beautiful Hotel en route to Madrid
VKL511on 20/05/2017 12:22Used this hotel en route to Madrid. The Landa is directly situated to the highway, but absolutely quite. Very nice and helpfull night staff.
Room was spacious and clean, with a little balcony.
Excellent beds!
Unfortunately due to time problems could not try the restaurant/bar.
Check out was quick and very friendly. Not being cheap, the hotel was worth each Euro.
Gas station next to the hotel - for us a perfect stay.
Great hotel with bundles of character
simonpinionon 13/05/2017 15:15This hotel is family owned, and you can tell. The staff can't do enough for you, and want to make sure your stay is a good one.
The pool is in a unique setting, and the water was warm !
Our room was in the tower, on the top floor. It was a large room, with a big bathroom too. The WIFI was excellent, and worked straight away.
The only thing that could be improved was breakfast. Their suggested breakfast was 17 euros. This was far more than we would spend on breakfast, so we asked for one breakfast, and shared it. This was plenty, and they even shared the orange juice between two glasses for us.
We were attending an event in the town , so had to get a taxi there and back (25 euros total cost for there and back) but I'm pleased we did. This hotel has the values of how things used to be, but with modern standards too. Won't forget the Landa !
