What People are saying

Family Visit.

Steve Pon 16/06/2017 07:42

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel for 8 days. The location is quiet and out of the city with some very nice walks nearby around lakes and woods. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I have only one down side to the stay was that breakfast although very good did not justify the cost of almost €17/day/person.

Big family room, very good breakfast

JoostWillemsenon 07/05/2017 09:35

In this hotel we had a spacious and comfortable family room. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. Staff was friendly. Due to road works in the area it can be hard to reach the hotel at the moment. This is not their fault but they could do a bit more (temporary signs, text or mail to clients who have reserved...) to help clients with this issue. For the rest: excellent!

Hotel Landhaus Seela

I had a good size room at a reasonable rate. The hotel is close enough to Braunschweig to make travelling easy but is in a pleasant quiet location. The food was good and the service excellent. I was in an end room but had free wifi for two devices - no issues - signal was strong and internet access easy. Good breakfast versus cost and I had a room service meal which was excellent value for money.

The only problem is with the car park. Its a reasonable size but when full is a bit of a nightmare to manoeuvre

Wonderful Country Hotel close to downtown Braunschweig

Chrissie777on 30/10/2015 17:16

When we stayed here for the first time in September 2008, my husband had the flu and we couldn't really enjoy the beautiful countryside next to the hotel.
Now we returned to visit my mother and to attend my high school class reunion which also took place in a room at this hotel (beautiful room) which was downstairs.

We had the same suite (257) that we had 7 years ago and everything was perfect again. It's lovely to have two bathrooms and two showers. Quel luxe :)!
Also there is an extra door between living room and bed room, so you cannot hear any people in the hallway of the floor. A very peaceful hotel.

The only thing we missed was air condition. Even though this was already October, it was still warm in Braunschweig. But other than that no complaints at all.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, speaks English flawlessly.
Breakfast was delicious like we remembered it from our first stay.

If you have an extra day, I can highly recommend to drive less than half a mile towards Kreuzteich pond (just ask at the reception and they'll give you directions). You can walk around the pond and then cross the street and walk around the cloisters Riddagshausen. Ask for Kleiderfellerweg which is not far from the old house with the archway and the cloisters.
There's also an area where several old farming houses have been renovated in the early 1970's. Turn into the small lane next to the shoemaker and park your car there. You will see the farm houses right there.

Good 3 star with very poor wifi

Cloggiedon 15/09/2014 11:45

This hotel is usually full, I cannot understand why. It is not a 4 star (except for the price) as it would like to think.
Most things about it are average except for the wifi which is poor. I stayed there last week and had to try 3 rooms for a wifi that even connected. If you are working and need this essential tool you will struggle, some rooms have a good connection but they are in a minority. The staff don't believe there is a problem but 'of course' they wouldn't would they - 'it is not possible for there to be a problem'.
