Authentic Bavarian Hospitality ... and GREAT food!
AP-Couple_Germanyon 07/08/2015 16:58We stayed a whole week at the Landhotel Adler in August 2015, using it as our "base camp" for day trips to explore the Allgäu and our hiking trips in the Bavarian Alpes. This was our second stay in this great "local country style hotel", were we - once again - experienced a wonderful, very pleasant, and authentic hospitality of all staff members and the owners, who were all very attentive!!! Our room was great, with a balcony overlooking the beer garden in front of the hotel, the small village of "Martinszell" and the nearby river "Iller". We had booked a special deal with a very reasonable room rate, a great buffet breakfast, and a three-course dinner every evening.:-) We will - for sure - be back, ... and can really recommend this hotel, if you want to experience true and authentic "Bavarian (Allgäu) Hospitality"!
Nice layover
Kristian Aon 09/07/2015 21:31We stayed on this hotel when driving from Denmark to Italy. The hotel is located 10 km away from A7, so it's easy to get to when driving through Europe.
The room was big and clean with a brand new bathroom. We had dinner in the Biergarten. Unfortunately the weather was bad and the BBQ dinner was nothing special.
Breakfast was good and at a very reasonably price 4,80€
Overnight Bavarian stop
Paula Gon 15/06/2014 09:39Had a great overnight stop at this hotel on the way to Austria. The hotel is motorbike friendly with separate garage. Had a lovely double room with seated area and veranda which was nicely furnished. Nice bathroom however very small but ok as only stopping one night.
Restaurant food of excellent quality but a but pricey, breakfast is an extra cost but there was a very wide choice of options.
Would return if in Bavaria

wendywoos2016on 25/09/2013 15:10This hotel has a very alpine appearance and the views are spectacular. The rooms are a good size and have modern bathrooms. Then food is good value and the portions are large so you need to be hungry. The beers are local and very good. There is plenty of walking and cycling in the area. Unfortunately the church bells chiming every 15 mins through the night can be disturbing.
