What People are saying

OK but nothing special

FrenkiSLOon 13/05/2017 22:05

It was OK. The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were big and spacious but a little bit dark. Internet was working and the breakfast was OK. The location is quiet, not close to the city center. I didn't use the pool or any other facility because we were working and we just came to the hotel to sleep..

“I would book it again”

Nature around is awesome and the staff at the reception was very friendly, professional and helpful. A special request because of having guests for breakfast was at a first a tiny little bit difficult (we've been asked to sort this out in the morning but in the morning it was getting difficult because of the short notice) but satisfying resolved by very professional (and a bit stressed) staff.
It is a really quite location and as soon we've figured out where the additional car parks are located (what wasn't easy at a first) we had as well no issues with only very few spaces in front of the hotel. The room was clean, neat and tidy and so was the bathroom (even though it was a bit tiny for the equipment of a couple).
The balconies are looking forward to some weeding (the reason for my "average" re the cleanliness) and some of the corridors were not that good lighted. We've been almost scared to sit in the bigger breakfast room which had the flair of a factory canteen but we were lucky to be in the nice and pretty room. Breakfast was reduced to two hours only what means they were ongoing running out of some food (bread rolls, marmalade, eggs...) and because of only a few service staff members it took sometimes a while before they filled up the buffet. This hotel is obviously totally booked out for about 9 months (what is a good sign) what means the restaurant is crowded for breakfast (which was a very good one).
We missed highly WLAN especially because the mobile network reception is almost not existing. Planing hikes on the mobile was getting difficult on this way.

Very unhappy stay ... never again

Michal Von 13/07/2015 10:40

This stay was one of the worst we ever had somewhere. Who has nerves, can read in full:

First day when we arrived at 19:30 the reception was closed and nobody was picking the phone listed. We had been nervous "how to get to room". Then we accidentally found the restaurant waitress and she had our keys ...

But nobody was speaking English. So when we came into a room and have found that we booked 34m2 family room, and what we got is normal double room ... it was useless to get down and argue about wrong booking. (I speak German just a little) So we stayed two adults and two kids in normal double room. We managed somehow.

The room were not clean at all. We usually are not too demanding, but that was a bit under our expectancy. So while my wife was cleaning the room from spyderwebs, me and kids were playing with the ants in the room (they have found their way from balcony into the room)

Next day I had to leave for a match, so came for breakfast at 7:10 ... which is normal breakfast time from 7, right? But this hotel starts at 8, ... so I left hungry.

When I came back after match, my wife was looking sad, frustrated and hungry. I asked what happened? : Ho restaurant prices were bit higher than she expected, and she could not find any other restaurant in the neighborhood. The WiFi in hotel was not free, and 6,5 EUR per day with complicated registration... so she tried to entertain the kids in hotel pool ... which was far too cold and deep, not suitable for children, and quite dirty as well. So nobody enjoyed. So the kids were irritating her whole day. (Free WiFi should be standard these days ... and sporadic cleaning of pool too ... do I expect too much ?!??)

Second day we came into a restaurant at 9am ... and the breakfast was "happening", but no breakfast was actually there. Why? Because there was 40 guests and only one waitress, which was very fine, but was so busy, that had no chance to fill in the actual breakfast. So breakfast was fully eaten, and nobody filling in. So we picked some of the rests ... and had been happy that not hungry. After us came another pair … and they had been just starring at empty plates …

(It is necessary to say, that the waitress was very kind, working hard, sympathetic, but she was only one there. Who puts one waitress for a breakfast preparation and taking care of 40-50 guests ??? She can not do miracles ... We had been sorry for her.)

Then we came back to room to move out and we realized that it has been "cleaned" while we were on breakfast. But it looked as final cleaning ... but we did not move out yet ! So of course with two kids to move out, we made some "dirts inside the room" and left some trash. So new coming guests will find the room, not "as expected" :(

Then I came to a reception for check-out. At least that day there was a guy, speaking English. Hallelujah! I informed him about wrong booking, and he was "so kind" to reduce the price to full price of that room that we had. Our booking was more expensive, ... and I was so frustrated from the stay, that I even wanted him to ask me to pay full price ... and then I would be happy, because I could start a real fight! :) I was most probably looking like a god of revenge, so he better did not ask me "how satisfied we were", and that was good for him. Because WE WERE TOTALLY UNSATISFIED IN THIS HOTEL and we had been very happy, that we can finally leave.

NEVER AGAIN

A nice surprise

Clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, good value. Great buffet breakfast was included in the rate. It's a ways from the town center, thus no restaurants or pubs (save it the hotel's own) within walking distance. That said, it's a quiet location with beautiful surroundings. The photos on their site hardly do the place justice....would definitely stay there again.
