I have been to this hotel on many occasions. Frau Miller, speaks fluent English, as does her husband Timo. It is just a plain lovely establishment, wonderful accommodations, and a GREAT restaurant.. What more need be said!!!!!...

One of the best hotel to stay in Hessen.

This Hotels was a wonderful surprise. For some reason I didn't build a great expectation about this hotel, but the staff and the restaurant exceed it so far.

The original plan is to stay one night only, but a problem with my car made me to stay one more night. This way I could know how careful and lovely the staff are.

Location:
This hotel stay in a very small village in Bad Sooden-Allendorf and there is nothing close. Not renting car isn't a option, but this is one of great point about this hotel. Nor a typical tourist hotel neither a place to be seen.

If you are looking for stay with the locals and get a perfect rest this hotel will fulfill your wishes. The city is little far, but the best thing of this city is this hotel.

Room:
I spent two nights there and in two different rooms, both of them was very good, well maintained, clean and cosy. Actually there are two building, the main home has no elevator and the rooms are on the 2 and 3 floor, the other building has better rooms (more expensive) and elevator is not needed once it is a one-story building.

Breakfast:
Wonderful breakfast with many tasteful options of fruits, jelly and breads, all fresh products. As I told on my others reviews about German hotels the breakfast follow a high quality pattern and never disappoint me.

Restaurant:
It is amazing, the dinner menu is superb and has one of the best meat that had ever eaten. Even if you won’t be hosted in the hotel, this restaurant worth the visit.

Overall:
This Hotel has exceeded my expectations and it Is a place where I will be back in other opportunity. The restaurant is superb and the staff are very gentle and lovely, from the managers until the hotel staff these people made the difference in my travel.

One of the best hotel to stay in Hessen.

Very good service and nice rooms

We travel several times every year from the south of France to Denmark and have stayed at this hotel several times. Never been disappointed, but remember to book in advance since the place seems to be very popular. They have special rooms where you are allowed to bring your dog(s) as well. Rooms are modern, clean and with sufficent space even for a small family.
The restaurant is just perfect and offers all the traditional food one would expect in addition to new dishes. I would normally avoid resturants with a very broad and extensive menu card since attention to details seems to slide a bit - but not here. The are some many fantasctic choices and neither of us have ever been disappointed. We will be back. Not the cheapest place, but price and quality goes hand in hand. Only negative point was the quality of the WIFI which as a bit unstable.

Picture Postcard Setting

Just got back from Germany having spent three nights in the Hotel Ahrenberg. Our visit coincided with a period of snowfall which given the hotels location made for a very picturesque setting. Having no available rooms in the main hotel itself, me and my two colleagues were roomed in one of a number of converted bungalows which are located up a side road approximately 150 mtr from the hotel itself.

The rooms were very warm given the very cold weather outside and spacious. The decor was smart and functional with all the usual amenities I.e. safe, coffee machine, fridge and television etc.

Bathroom was again smart and functional with WC, shower, basin and nice towelling ect

The hotel food was very tasty. I had veal or pork most days by choice but fish or steaks are also available.

One note of caution for the winter traveller. Do bring suitable gripped footwear as the hotel road and car park are not flat and not generally cleaned of snow and ice. I ended up slipping and falling on my last day.
