Good hotel

This hotel is relatively close to the train station but it is a VERY steep climb. There are elevators to the left of the station that will take you up some of the way. Taxi costs about 14 Swiss Franks but worth it. Hotel itself is friendly and very clean. Breakfast area overlooks the lake which is quite beautiful. After enjoying Zurich, Interlaken and Zermatt, St Moritz was very dull. The village is full of expensive designer shops with zero atmosphere. The place is virtually dead after 7pm.

We arrived on Fri eve after a long drive over the Julierpass which was exhausting! We were welcomed by a staff member who was warm and friendly! The hotel interior was traditional and clean! Everything was warm and cosy and we were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived!! As soon as we were introduced to our room we were pleasantly surprised by the wooden panelled interior and soft lighting that was in character with Swiss culture!!! The bedding was simple but comfortable as was the facilities! what this hotel lacked in 5 star facilities was more than made up by character, cosyness, warmth and cleanliness!!! It was an oasis for us as all we wanted to do for the weekend was kick back and relax and forget about the stresses of life... this hotel allowed us to do that!!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that goes to St Moritz!!!

A superb family run hotel. Clinically clean in every detail. Wonderful front of desk, always so helpful. Breakfast is unfussy and wholesome and the views across the lake from the breakfast table are simply stunning. The hotel location is town centre and a short stroll from everywhere.
It's my third trip here in 3 years. Next year I'll be making it my fourth.

St. Moritz is not cheap - nothing is cheap, not even a cup of coffee. Hotel Languard is a small family owned and run property. We were warmly welcomed and upgraded to a lovely room with the most amazing views of the Alps and Lake - it was truly beautiful. The hotel is right in town and easy walk to everywhere and is lovely and quiet. The breakfast included in the rate was basic, but fresh and adequate. The breakfast room enjoys the same views. The staff/owners cannot do enough for you and are on hand to give you information on things to do, places to go and eat etc. It is well priced and I cannot speak more highly of the experience we had.

I stayed 3 days at Hotel Languard in September 2016, and I am already planning to return for much longer!

Despite the unfortunate weather, my stay in St. Moritz was made memorable by the hotel's hard-working owner, Franka, who is the heart and the soul of the place, and who goes to great lengths to make her guests happy. Her second in command, Sasha, is equally dedicated to making the hotel guests comfortable, with great attention to detail.

The hotel is a jewel, sparkling clean and with a warmth of decor that draws people in.

Franka is a super-woman who single-handedly manages everything like a virtuoso, and still finds time to grow magnificent orchids, which guests can enjoy throughout the dining room.

To get to the hotel from St. Moritz train station, take bus #3 to Schulhausplatz. At the time of the writing, a bus ticket is 3 CHF (or 3 euro are accepted).
[During longer than 2 nights stays, the hotel lends you the Engadine Pass that covers the bus]

The hotel location is right in the town center, so very convenient. You can actually see the top of the hotel if you look up from the train station, but as others have mentioned, climbing the steep incline with luggage would probably take about 20 min.

The hotel is quiet, so one can rest uninterrupted. WiFi works well, and there are all sorts of other amenities to make your stay comfortable.
No detail was overlooked by the hotel excellent owner; even the shower heads have LED lights changing color :)

And if you need anything, I have no doubt Franka or Sasha will get it for you :)

The breakfast, included in your room price, is buffet-style, with various cold cuts, several type of cheeses, yogourt, fruit, and much more. The coffee is served as strong as you request, a kind offer by the busy staff, which I highly appreciated.

The most generous gift from the hotel is the Engadin Pass for stays longer than 2 days in summer. This pass covers all buses, trains, cable cars and gondolas up the mountain, in itself a value of over 90 CHF!

With the Engadine Pass you get free bus rides as far as Chiavenna, unlimited cable car rides, and train rides as far as Spinas and Alp Grum.

In summary, I cannot recommend enough Hotel Languard, an exemplary accommodation in St. Moritz!
