3rd time of many

ManofSteelon 06/09/2016 17:29

This is the 3rd time staying at the Green Villas and we can't recommend them enough. Yes not in the best area, yes maybe a little dated in parts but Pablo and his staff are 1st class.
You'll need a car ideally but a taxi into playa Blanca is cheap and the Hyper Dino super market is 15 minutes walk.
For the accommodation available at this price it's a great family property with plenty of room.
We'll be seeing them again next year.

Great but recommend a car

I only wish trip advisor would let you give things 4.5 as I cannot bring myself to give it 5 but there were only a few minor things.
Could have done with a lick of paint on the external rear walls and pillars, the location is too far out to walk everyday to PB, and they need to deal with the dogs barking.
That sounds bad but it is really worth going. Villa is comfy, clean and well-equipped. Nice touches by Pablo, who we never met but if anything went wrong it was dealt with very quickly indeed. Cleaners and pool maintenance were prompt, friendly and efficient. Beds reasonably comfy and good pressure from the shower which I find important. We were in villa 6 which had a decent view from the rear and wifi is acceptable. Slow but consistent. If you did want to walk then I would say 10mins to supermarket, 25mins to marina (upmarket) for restaurants and bars, 35mins for more bars and restaurants and 45mins for central PB. We hired a car eventually and parking is very good. If you do taxis then 3-5 euros max each way.
All in all we really enjoyed it so give it a go!!!!
Thanks again Pablo to you and your staff.

Lovely villa, location may not suit everybody

I booked through Booking.com and was really pleased with the price of the 3 bedroom we'd booked. I must admit thought that I was a little apprehensive arriving through an unlit abandoned building site which borders the Lanzarote Green Villa's plot. There was no need to worry, the villa's are in a well lit area with other private villas surrounding them. The location is a couple of kilometres from the Marina Rubicon and a little further to Playa Blanca but both are accessible via the coast path which is a pleasant walk even late at night.

The villa was perfect, well presented and clean with all the rooms made up even though only two of us were staying, the welcome pack was very welcome as was the mid week bottle of wine. The pool is unheated but at the end of June had just enough temperature to be comfortable. Our villa had a private terrace which although overlooked by neighbouring properties felt secluded.

We had a very happy week and would visit again.

Great holiday

We have had a great holiday here. A car is a definite, it really is to far to walk. We went running every day so I can tell you it 2 miles to the nice beach and another Mile to the shops and restaurants. Took our boys 40 minutes on the coastal path to get to the beach. They did it once. The sun beds and umbrellas are €3 each. If you need the loo it's 40 cents at the bar which accepts to 20 cent pieces, or buy a drink and use it for free.
There's a great little supermarket down the road from the villa which has every thing you need.
We found the harbour restaurants more expensive then the town ones. It is very windy so I would advise you bring a thin jumper with. We knew from previous years so we're prepared.
The villa it's self is ok. Very basic and well used, but for me you get what you pay for so it was fine. No AC but the are fans in the rooms and to be honest you don't need them. We slept with the windows open.
No9 had a washing machine toaster and kettle in, not sure if it's the same for the others. The shower head looks old and sad but it works great much to are delight. The maids come round and clean and change towels once or twice a week I forget now. The fridge could be a little colder but hay it's not a huge problem.
Pablo is great, nothing to much of a problem for him.
The only down side that we could find was dogs. If you don't like the sound of barking dogs forget it. Can't say if they barked all day because we were down the beach, but at night. Oh my word it is like living near to a dog pound. If you keep the windows shut and the fan on your fine, but once one starts they all go, and they don't stop till the owners go to bed.
Other than that it was great. Hope this helps people.
